What a fantastic traditional village pub! While they don't serve regular meals, on Saturdays they offer the most incredible cobs available at the bar. We will definitely be returning!

This charming country pub offers a wide selection of authentic real ales and features friendly staff. The lovely garden adds to its appeal, making it a perfect spot to relax. Nestled in beautiful countryside, it’s an excellent base for cycling and walking adventures.

So pleased to be able to come back to the **** after lockdown. Delicious food, good bottle of wine and all at very sensible prices. Soup asparagus for starters, followed by beef stroganoff and tournedos Rossini … all beautifully cooked. We’ve been coming for years and will continue to do so!

This is a fantastic pub located in the serene countryside of Leicestershire. It's definitely worth a visit! The pub features a lovely garden where you can relax in the sun, and it combines traditional pub vibes with a modern twist. The staff are delightful—friendly and welcoming. I plan to visit regularly!

Fantastic country pub! As the leader of a walking group, it's quite challenging to find a place that genuinely welcomes walkers. It has been a pleasure working with the landlady, Eleanor, and we all eagerly anticipate our lunch break there in a few weeks. During our recent pre-walk visit, the entire pub was beautifully decorated for Halloween, and even the outdoor seating area across the road was included. Simply marvelous!

What a great find this was and one of the best Sunday roasts we’ve tasted in a long time! We chose from a set menu with a good choice for the 3 courses. The tempura prawns were delicious and so were the garlic mushrooms. The Topside beef was so tasty and tender and plenty of it too. The accompanying vegetables were cooked to perfection , the roast potatoes possibly the best ever and there was yummy Yorkshire pudding. We chose the treacle and almond tart and the Bailey’s cheesecake for dessert, both delicious and especially the tart! I was a little disappointed during my visit. We checked the menu online before making a reservation, but the hand-written menu we received didn’t match what was listed on the website. The food we ordered was decent; in fact, the sea bream was quite lovely. However, the steak was a different story—it was a cheap cut and quite tough. The best option available from the revised menu was sirloin, but I personally prefer fillet. Additionally, the wine selection was drastically limited compared to what was advertised, although the Argentinian Malbec was delightful. Lovely friendly country pub with cosy and chilled atmosphere. Went here on the eat out to help out scheme and it was fantastic. Brilliant menu with ample choice despite the pandemic. We had two starters, two mains and one dessert. Pate and pork belly, tasty and fresh good portion sizes. I then had rack of lamb and was a bit dubious about the honey and mint sauce combination but it was delicious, lamb cooked perfectly pink how I like, and portion size again very generous, all mains served with 4 types of potato and fresh veg.
