"Incredible service and incredible food! The staff at this restaurant truly go above and beyond for their customers. When I fell ill and needed a birthday cake for my husband at the last minute, the JJs bakers were closed. The staff at The Coffee Neuk went out of their way to call JJ bakers and ask them to make a cake for me overnight. The girls from The Coffee Neuk then drove to Broxburn to pick it up and brought it to their cafe in Linlithgow, where we celebrated my husband's birthday with a delicious lunch. The food and milkshakes were excellent, and the staff provided outstanding customer service. Thanks to them, my husband had a fantastic birthday with his favorite fajitas, milkshake, and cake. Thank you so much, ladies! He absolutely loved it."

The restaurant has a fantastic cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to indulge in their delicious hot cakes with ice cream. I highly recommend treating yourself to this delightful experience either before or after your visit to Linlithgow Palace.

Lovely wee place. If you're looking for food and service that us authentically Scottish, head in here. The white americano in drinking is really decent and the cakes are brilliant. Plus the kitchen smells right. Scottish stovies are clearly made properly.

Visited on the 31st January for coffee and cake. Has the Coffee Neuk changed hands? Didn’t have the range of homemade cakes as previously but a lot of tray bakes. They used to always have an amazing cheese cake but I’ve not seen that since before the pandemic. It is still good but different. Ver carta

This cafe has a brilliant location but unfortunately is very average. This is due to 2 things: 1: service and front staff not very friendly 2: scones which are stale Such a shame because it could be a great wee place. We didn’t try other things on menu so can’t comment on that so perhaps the lunches are nice but with so many others to choose from they need to up their game. First time I had been

Usually have an amazing time at the coffee neuk how ever this was the first time with my 10 month old I knew there wasn't a lot of space so didn't take the pram. There wasnt enough room to put up the high chair they had and staff weren't overly friendly about it either so decided to sit the little one on my lap. I needed to change her nappie but didn't have any changing area so we had to leave. Usually a lovely cafe but not kid friendly.

Had not visited Linlithgw for years. I only stay a few miles away in Falkirk.Went yesterday with my friend and came across The Coffee Neuk. A few seats outside, . beautifully decorated inside. Toilets spotless. Table service, young girl was very pleasant. Ordered cheese &ham toasties. Made with home baked bread and twi e as thick as normal toasties.Just melted in your mouth. Came with side salad, crisps and coleslaw. A meal unto itself. Reasonably priced. Would recommend it and will be back Ver carta

We visited today and found the food to be excellent . Its slightly cramped as quite a small place but screens were in place amd staff sprayed tables when vacant. I had the Scottish breakfast which was so good. Everything was hot which is rare when you have a big selection on a plate . The fried egg was perfectly cooked and the black pudding , haggis and sausage were also cooked well. My son had soup and a bagel which also came with lovely coleslaw amd a well dressed side salad. Would definitely return when visiting Linlithgow

The last time I visited this cafe was before the 2020 pandemic and I recall having a not bad lunch there. But I have to say that the breakfast rolls and coffees we had were disappointing. My wife could not drink her coffee because it tasted off and although I drank most of mine my stomach was unsettled for the rest of the day. As for the breakfast rolls, they were very disappointing. I had a black pudding and egg roll. Whatever the black pudding was it was like no other black pudding I have eaten. I couldn't finish it.....it was just not nice.

"Where to start? Don’t waste your money. The rooms are in a desperate need of a facelift. Walls were a shade of prison gray and no art work or wall decor of any kind. The shower is smaller than a phone booth. If you fell you’d never hit the floor you’d just be wedged in for all eternity. There was no safety latch from the inside of the door. There was also no do not disturb sign to hang out. You guessed it—maid service entered both mornings without knocking. We put the suitcase in front of the door the second night or she would have gotten an eye full. It seems a serious safety violation this day and time not to have a way to secure your room. There is no staff on duty at night. We were told our room key would open the main door if we came back after hours. Now the noise. Omg is this place noisy! There is a bar attached and we got a great deal of noise from that the first night. Also noise from other rooms travels very quickly. But none of that compared to the second night. Bar was much louder. Then a very rowdy party took place in the Beer Garden complete with DJ and speakers. The room vibrated. We vibrated. This went on until after 11:00. I have never had such a miserable hotel experience my life. What we wanted was a quiet night before flying home. What we got was a frat party. Never again. There is absolutely no way families with children should stay here. Safety: No inside safety bolt for the door."
