"Avoid this place at all costs. I am extremely disappointed with my experience here - it's the worst Indian food I've had in years. You could get a better curry from a microwave meal at Tesco. The Karahi lamb was tasteless with a thin layer of oil on top instead of a rich curry sauce. The butter chicken was bland and sour, while the chicken jalfrezi tasted like watery tomato soup. When we called to complain, we were brushed off and made to feel like we were lying because these dishes are apparently popular. In short, our feedback was not taken well and I've wasted £60 on inedible food. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere for your curry fix."

"Where to start? Don’t waste your money. The rooms are in a desperate need of a facelift. Walls were a shade of prison gray and no art work or wall decor of any kind. The shower is smaller than a phone booth. If you fell you’d never hit the floor you’d just be wedged in for all eternity. There was no safety latch from the inside of the door. There was also no do not disturb sign to hang out. You guessed it—maid service entered both mornings without knocking. We put the suitcase in front of the door the second night or she would have gotten an eye full. It seems a serious safety violation this day and time not to have a way to secure your room. There is no staff on duty at night. We were told our room key would open the main door if we came back after hours. Now the noise. Omg is this place noisy! There is a bar attached and we got a great deal of noise from that the first night. Also noise from other rooms travels very quickly. But none of that compared to the second night. Bar was much louder. Then a very rowdy party took place in the Beer Garden complete with DJ and speakers. The room vibrated. We vibrated. This went on until after 11:00. I have never had such a miserable hotel experience my life. What we wanted was a quiet night before flying home. What we got was a frat party. Never again. There is absolutely no way families with children should stay here. Safety: No inside safety bolt for the door."

"has heard good things about this place, so we thought we would try. when entering, there was a strong smell of cheap bleaching agents that immediately put me down. we were welcomed immediately and brought to a nice table. the menu was very...limited that I had to begin the garlic mushrooms with which were not particularly pleasant. the prawn cocktails looked good, but nothing outstanding. we had a bottle chianti that was beautiful and a bottle of Italian Sauvignon Blanc that was quite bad and not very cold, but we drank anyway. the pizzas were absolutely delicious, but the carbonara was a little tasteless. the service was good and the waiting staff was friendly. the lighting is much too bright. defeats the purpose of beautiful little candles on the tables. no need for these bright ceiling downlights. he just doesn't create the right ambiente. overall an average experience and I would like to recommend."

"Great independent cafe, with delicious food and excellent service from Gail and the team. This was our second visit, while we were taking my daughter shopping for her birthday. As such her chicken nuggets arrived with birthday candles. Great South African food here too and there are so my lovely touches like the varied tea sets. Wouldn't go anywhere else now when we come to shop in Livingston! Meal type: Brunch"

"We picked it out because of the “good rating” but were disappointed. 1. Is the bar separate from the restaurant. There are also two different entrances. Unfortunately, none of the staff told us this, which is why we were half an hour late despite having a reservation. 2. Little food for a lot of money. After our meals we were still hungry! We were so upset that we went to McDonald’s afterwards. The food itself was good, but nothing special. 3. The waitress in the bar was unfriendly and unhelpful. The waiter in the restaurant, however, made an effort. The ambience was just average, but we didn't feel comfortable at the beginning due to the situation. Vegetarian options: Since this is a steakhouse, there are no vegetarian dishes except for a few starters. Wheelchair accessibility: Didn't see an elevator even though the restaurant is on the first floor. The bar is accessible through two doors in a row, which I assume will be difficult for a wheelchair user."
