"We visited here for lunch, there were just a few people at the bar. We both had steak which was really tasty when it finally arrived but it took over 45 minutes to arrive!. As we had sat there for so long we naturally started to look around us after general conversation and started noticing cobwebs and dust, it is a nice little pub but could do with some good cleaning. The toilets were clean though. It would appear the barman doubles up as a chef as he went off from the bar to the kitchen to cook in his football top and shorts then a female came in and took over the bar. The people sat at the bar were quite loud talking with the bar staff and there was often swearing which was not curbed so we wouldn't have been pleased had we been in with the children. We did not stay for a dessert as the main meal had taken so long but it was worth it when it arrived."

Just called in for a drink and what a friendly atmosphere. The new tenants are making this pub a place to visit again. The beers are well kept and the menu looks great. If you're in the area give them a try. Ver carta

A short drive from our holiday cottage in south tawton we stumbled on this small pub, don't be fooled by the tired interior as the host Sally was most welcoming and the food was excellent and great value, well worth a visit !

Went to the opening day today with my husband. The landlady landlord are new to the pub trade but he is an experienced chef. Lovely quaint old pub with masses of potential. Complimentary food today was curry rice: both the madras the korma were to die for so it all looks very promising for food. Once they've got used to the pub itself, I'm sure they will do really well I know that we are certainly planning on going back. Well done Louise Dan!! Good luck x

We decided to take a New Year 's Day walk across the fields drop in for a lunchtime drink. Having lived locally for the past 3 years we have often wished for a good pub within walking distance today we found it in The Copper Key Inn! Our party of 4 adults 3 kids were made very welcome by Meg the service was great. The pub has been under new ownership for the last 3 months has a lovely interior, warm inviting with lots of character plenty of seating. There was a special brunch menu on offer for New Year 's Day , although we hadn 't planned on eating, we were tempted ordered! The food arrived promptly was delicious. The steak sandwich was outstanding, cooked to perfection overflowing, chips me...

"Gidleigh Park is a country house located in a wooden wally in Devon. It is quite hard to reach the place on a very narrow road, which is very beautiful, but apparently during the winter larger cars can’t even get there. Gidleigh Park houses a two-Michelin star restaurant with Michael Caines as the main chef (the restaurant was recently voted number 1 restaurant in the UK by the Harden’s Sunday Times Food List 2014). Gidleigh Park also has bedrooms (apparently all individual in style and design) and you can stay there for the night and then wonder in the gardens of the estate, which I saw some people doing when I was there. I was visiting Devon and my boyfriend chose Gidleigh Park for lunch on a Sunday and we took the long and narrow road to Gidleigh Park. The inside of the house was very old and had a lot of charm. It had eclectic art and antiques and different style rooms, the lounge had different tables, chairs and the bar was done up in a completely different style. Gidleigh Park showcased British charm and elegance. You could chose to have their signature sample menu for £140/ person, but instead we went for the much cheaper version, their lunch set menu for £44/ person for 3 courses (you could also have 4 courses for £57). Also note choosing dishes a la carte would set you back £115, so the lunch menu seems like the cheapest way how to enjoy Gidleigh Park. We did not have any wine, but apparently thy have an amazing wine cellar. The three course lunch menu included a small appetizer, a starter and a main course and you could choose from one of the 3 starters and one of the 3 main courses. Our appetizer was “goat’s cheese foam with beetroot jelly, candied walnuts and granny smith apple”, but as my boyfriend does not like goats’ cheese he had a tuna tartar as his appetizer which actually looked better than my appetizer. I was not to"
