Would advise any couple Looking for a relaxing romantic staycation in good hands! Staff are so great it was our anniversary they laid it on thick food was amazing we both had started calamari and prawns with 2 currys will be back!

My wife and I enjoyed fish and chips at The Darlington. Very good quality dish and I would highly recommend. The manager and chef are really friendly and resolve any minor issues immediately. All in all a very nice pub, good menu and value for money.

Stunning food. We had steak and chips. Sounds simple, but nope; this was the most delicious, gourmet plate of loveliness. Even the chips like a cross between wedges and crinkle cut and butterflies. Excellent overnight stay before our holiday. Booked 2 rooms as we were going away with friends. Both rooms spotless, well equipped with everything you need and plenty of tea and coffee. We had dinner there and food food was lovely, plenty of choice including steaks, salads, pastas and a range of home made curries nice bar with reasonable prices will definitely book again. Don't order the vegetable curry; this is a pack of frozen veg in a Curry sauce. Naan breads and starters are just bought in and not cooked fresh. Our main meals were bought to us whilst we were eating out starters. They tried to tidy around us whilst some of us were still eating. The kasmiri Curry was tasty and chicken dishes had succulent chicken. On balance though, it is not somewhere I would visit again.

Excellent food and speedy service. Food was a solid 10 for me and my girlfriend gave a 9. Thrilled that there was somewhere so close to where we were staying especially since it was by complete accident that we were staying here at all service could have been a little friendlier however nothing I would drop a star for. I discovered this restaurant before leaving from Bristol Airport (just past silver parking if driving). The staff offer a diverse menu, but their curries are exceptional. My wife has celiac disease and needs to eat gluten-free, which they accommodated without any issues. She enjoyed a mild chicken curry. I had a deliciously spiced lamb rogan josh that was generously portioned - I couldn't finish it, but it was excellent. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Well done!

I have to say, this was the worst place I have ever booked to stay. After being greeted with condescending terms of endearment, my mother (who is 74) and I were shown to our room through a back entrance that was dirty and messy. The pathway included a small, steep staircase that was difficult for me to climb with just an overnight bag, let alone for my mother who had to crawl up on her hands and knees. The room itself was nicely decorated, but there were leftover toothpaste and spit stains on the wall by the sink, as well as dirty marks and stains on the bed throw. We decided to leave and find alternative accommodation. Overall, a disappointing experience.

During our travels to and from Bristol Airport on the 6th and 14th of September, four of us dined at this charming pub and were thoroughly impressed. We were greeted warmly and served exceptional food. Our first evening included starters of mussels, calamari, halloumi fries, and whitebait, which were all generously portioned and delicious. For our main courses, we enjoyed beer-battered fish and chips, as well as hand-carved honey and mustard ham, both of which were equally satisfying. Despite not having room for dessert, we were so pleased with our experience that we returned for another meal on our way back from holiday.
