there was nothing with the place or eating or the personal, good as always. the problem was that the reservation I booked about this app was not on the system and we had very happy that the staff kindly found us a table. they are getting off

Have visited the dormouse on many occasions and the decor and atmosphere and easy parking make it attractive. However I have found that the service has got slower and quality of food deteriorated . 2 of the 3 meals we had were over cooked the hunters chicken both the chicken and gammon which has replaced the bacon) were dry and tough

Really friendly staff at the Dormouse. We were staying at the Premier Inn next door and wanted to get dinner, the dormouse was the perfect place. They fitted us in as we hadn't booked and were very friendly and welcoming. We had roast, which was served quickly and tasted delicious. The pub itself had a really cosy and welcoming atmosphere.

After our wedding at the Registry Office, we had arranged a meal for 18 people with the staff at the Dormouse. We pre-booked our meals as requested. We were given use of a part of the pub which was ours all afternoon. The food was great and the staff could not have been any more friendly, they were absolutely great! As we haven't been there for a long time and we booked for 4 people and I requested a round table and they did. The service was good, the foods wow very nice as three of them had Sunday lunch while I had salad with chicken due to Vegan and thank you to the Chef. The pudding with coffee which had a Apple Pie with custard and again very nice. We were there for 3.5 hours so it good. Thank you.

Love this place. Gorgeous ambiance, attentive staff, and delicious food. We go every year around this time as a bit of a day out and a treat. Staff are warm and welcoming. Our waiter was friendly, funny and engaging. Had the sea bass, and it was cooked to perfection. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert, and the portions were very generous. Good value for money too! Will definitely be back next year!

Just had a delicious meal. They were very busy, (good sign) we booked online so got a table no bother My husband had the steak which was cooked to perfection, I had the turkey Sunday dinner, asked for extra gravy which was no trouble for our waitress Karen. Absolutely lovely lady, who made time to chat to us. My fussy daughter had the kids sausage and chips and cleared her plate also. Lovely refreshing shandy too. If we're passing through again will most definitely eat here.

My family and I booked a table at the Dormouse for a get together. My elderly Mum has just turned 80 and my brother 50 and I have just been diagnosed with a terminal illness. We asked for a quiet corner and we were not disappointed. The staff, especially Karen were so friendly and kind. Lots of gluten free options for my sister in law. My nephews and brother were very impressed (meat lovers as was my Mum who had a recommendation from Karen for her main meal and ate it all (this never happens! . We were able to laugh and enjoy ourselves without feeling hassled and the food was just perfectly cooked and designed.
