"Great place to come and look at the view as it is 5*. The view of Holy Isle cannot be surpassed by the other bars as this is possibly the closest you'll get. Chairs are comfortable apart from the ones near the fire as too hot and the other comfy ones which are unfortunately positioned between the Gents and the disabled toilets and storage area, providing an interesting array of smells. We did not eat here, so we could not judge the food, but we did buy a bottle of Pinot Grigio, which was in our eyes (which were watering) a rather highly priced £27."

Popped in here for an evening meal while staying in Lamlash. Booking is essential. Food is good I had seafood linguine with some of the best cooked Calamari I've had (not at all chewy) although overall the dish was slightly bland, my wife had good roast lamb. Service was excellent friendly and efficient and the atmosphere very pleasant. Service: Dine in

We had dinner here with our two dogs. Bringing dogs to some restaurants can be tricky as you can be made to feel a bit of a nuisance sometimes but the Drift Inn were so warm and welcoming and made such a lovely fuss over our dogs. The staff were excellent we didn't unfortunately get their names, but the blonde lady and young man who served us went over and above to ensure we had a great experience. The food was delicious and atmosphere was cosy and homely. We would highly recommend!

We nipped in for a drink and found the Inn to be in a lovely setting. This must be one of the best views from a beer garden. The drinks average price but this is a tourist area. However the under cover area was great and the bar had a good selection of local gins and spirits. All draught beer was on keg but did have Fyne Ales. Good parking and plenty of space inside with a real fire. Under cover area was good and large and the view was excellent. Next time we visit will try the food.

"We were a party of 5, on a cold, very wet Saturday evening, coldest so far I would say! We drew up and saw a young family of 3 sitting with jackets on in the conservatory area, we were a bit concerned! We took a...seat at the back of the conservatory which proved to be a big mistake! There was a terrible draught coming from behind me, I did mention it and was told it was 27c at the middle of the room, but not where we were sitting!! I mentioned it a few times and sat with my shawl scarf on throughout! I pulled down the window blinds hoping that would help, nope!! We ordered our food, I asked about a vegetarian option for my husband, our waitress did say he could a veggie option on the curry and the tempura or risotto, which was helpful! I had to ask what was the soup of the day and also the pate!! I did feel that maybe in this day and age there should have been a small dedicated vegetarian area on the menu, but that’s just my opinion! 3 of our party had starters which were great, Cullen skink, scallops and langoustine tempura, Main courses arrived, 3 fish and chips, one lemon soul and one veggie tempura, all were excellent except for the veggie tempura which was large shards of onion and carrot in an albeit lovely batter, but not all vegetarians like huge chunks of vegetables! 4 of our party had a sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream, which was plentiful! Overall we had a pleasant meal, little or no atmosphere though, one of the younger waitresses (white shirt, black skirt) was friendly and more talkative, the waitress (dressed all in black)who served us was, we all felt a little disinterested and lacked any empathy with the guests! We asked for our bill, the youngest waitress came with the card machine and felt how cold it was only then did she check the windows to find there was one opened, hence the draught, which spoiled our visit because we were felling it cold!! We paid the bill and left a tip on the plate, no one came to say thank you for you custom, or have a nice evening, nothing!! All in all it was pretty inhospitable! Value you for money, it was good for the standard of the food!"
