Lovely pub in Kennington. Was lucky enough to have a sunny day in London so enjoyed the beer garden and some amazing food.

Took my parents for a delicious meal tonight in this candlelit pub, with superb service. Highly recommend the crêpes Suzette for dessert too

Friendly and totally genuine customer service, and a great laugh. Simple, but excellent quality menu of the pub classics. Big garden seating area, which is well shaded from sun and rain. Nice quiet Kennington location. Recommended. Ver carta

A lovely pub with a charming host and friendly staff. The food was so tasty....we had the mussels and a wild mushroom risotto both of which were fabulous. I can't wait to go back there. PS The goats cheese starter was delicious as well.

Stop reading my review and go! We came to London to watch the cricket as a birthday treat and we’re stayi be the night on the embankment. We were looking for a place to eat. Found this place on Trip Adviser. I wasn’t too sure because it was in the “wrong” direction. But I am so glad we went. The people that work here are so welcoming. We had a choice to sit inside or in the garden. We chose outside. 3 of us had steak and 1 had the fish and chips. It was all lovely. The whole night was awesome. And I am so glad we were brave. So go on, stop thinking about it. Go

There 's no doubt The Duchy has come to life once again. Food and service is great. The place is an absolute gem, being a traditional English pub so near to the bustle of central London life but a world apart from that bustle, being what we Brits call a Local ; just south of the River Thames. Sunday lunch in a homely, cosy pub is always a relaxing experience before the new week fires up. So why 3 stars? Whether you 're a local or on holiday (at the increasing number of Airbnb 's in Kennington) it remains an irritation about sneaky mark ups on that nice bottle of wine the two of you want to share with the food.
