We had the tandoori basket for starters and a garlic mushrooms the food was outstanding Started chatting to some of the locals who were saying how since the new owners took over the pub has been the beating heart of the village where before it was slowly dying and the new menus have made a very welcome change . Had the cowboy burger as my main corse and I left stuffed very good value for money 10/10 would recommend"

on Sunday afternoon, fought to cut bratkartoffels, they were so overdue. crispy cauliflower cheese. all over boiled.

The meat was poor quality, lots of fat. service was slow and they were not busy. Toilets were not checked regularly, very basic and untidy.

Visited last night with my partner and a friend all of the food we had was outstanding! One of the best steaks I have ever tasted, so flavoursome. Service from Chloe Lillie was spot on. Nothing too much trouble for them.

A recent visit (early September, 2022) was disappointing compared to our previous visit in December, 2021. The order for one of a party of five was missed, the 'rump ' steak is actually a 'sirloin ' and the overall food quality was lower.

We booked for a meal of four. The menu was very mediocre for a hotel. The squid we had was cooked in oldish oil you could really taste it, as a retired chef. Should have complained, but I was thinking of our company. Our main meals were ok nothing sparkling.

A really lovely place but sadly let down by poor service. Long delays in food service. When I queried reason for half hour delay a young bar lady told me loudly that I needed to give them a chance! Staff appeared confused and uni-corfinated, menus brought twice etc, and sometimes absent completely! Took me 5 minutes searching to find someone to pay as we left! Customer service trading required I believe.
