As usual Racheal, Sam and Rupert we excellent hosts. We had a lovely meal which was eceptional as always

Rachel, Sam and the team are all lovely and accommodating. Food is amazing and nice to have a dog and child friendly pub! Just wish I lived closer to go more often.

Real home cooked and very tasty food, lovely atmosphere, and staff excellent. Only topped by the amazing desert. Had the raspberry bake well with ice cream and have never tasted a desert like it before, Pure joy Ver carta

Fantastic food and service. Lovely evening. Had a delicious freshly prepared family meal that we all enjoyed. And of course some delicious wine to wash it down, recommended by the landlady! I don’t normally have dessert, but even I couldn’t resist three courses!!

Bitter choice is poor, food not on par with reviews, cold starter (supposed to be hot) with no flavour whatsoever. Main course tasteless and unevenly cooked, my wife's food had a hair in it. Waitresses are excellent but can only do so much, windows painted shut which is surely a health and safety issue?

We stumbled upon this pub while out cycling and decided to stop for lunch. It was a fantastic choice. We both ordered the Sunday roast and it was excellent. The atmosphere of the pub was charming and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend trying their Sunday roast. Ver carta

We recently moved to Winslow just before the lockdown, so we missed out on the opportunity to visit this wonderful pub. Now that things are starting to reopen, we have been able to stop by for drinks and Sunday lunch. We cannot speak highly enough of the food, owners, and staff. The COVID-19 measures in place made us feel very safe. We are eagerly looking forward to when they are able to resume normal service, as we are confident we will have many enjoyable moments there.

I had the most delicious eggs benedict at The George on Saturday! They even gave me a complimentary pot of tea during brunch. I regret not taking a picture, but I was too busy enjoying every bite. The hollandaise sauce and bacon were outstanding, and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly. I can't think of a better way to describe it other than perfect! The staff were very welcoming and I felt safe, the pub was clean and organized. It was nice to see other guests enjoying their time there as well.

Myself, Wife and young two year old had dinner here in the upstairs eating area which has been renovated very nicely. Very ambient and relaxed.The pub downstairs also looks really nice and a good layout with decent drinks.We ordered starters or Bruschetta and Gnocchi (homemade, delicious) with focaccia and olives. Mains were mushroom risotto, steak and pork belly. All cooked and seasoned exceptionally well. The biggest hit was the helpful and friendly staff who made our toddler feel at home. Excellent food, nice staff and a lovely pub. Recommend and would return anytime. Ver carta
