A lovely country style pub with an amazing menu. The food was delicious and service was extremely attentive! Dog friendly pub with extra complimentary treats available for your pooch!!

The food at this restaurant is amazing, and the service from Engin is even better. He is hardworking, pleasant, friendly, and attentive. Engin always delivers great service, and The Golden Retriever Pub is fortunate to have him. Well done!

Pie of the day (steak in red wine) slid down my throat like lube on a ski slope. Absolutely beautiful. Just writing this makes me want to nip over there and spoon the pre cooked pies in the freezer until I'm nothing but a papa smurf looking corpse. Ver carta

We went for lunch on bank holiday Monday. We booked online in the morning, and glad we did as it was busy. Service was a bit slow but this was possibly because we were behind a wall and not in sight of bar/kitchen area. It had a nice family friendly feel. Food was good, especially the desserts

This local pub is the best in town, with superb food made from amazingly delicious and fresh ingredients. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, especially Mark who made sure our dining experience was absolutely enjoyable with his friendly and professional service. The food is truly amazing.

Staff were fantastic. Abbey was our waitress and she couldn't have been more friendly or more helpful. I'm always nervous dining with young kids and she made them feel really welcome which totally put me at ease. Food was served in good time and quality was excellent. Our experience at the Golden Retriever was incredible. We received a warm welcome and excellent service from Sharon, who ensured we had everything we needed. The food was exceptional and we definitely plan on returning. A big thank you to the staff, especially Sharon, from Ray, Rosemary, and Susie the dog. Visit on Wednesday 28th June at 12 noon.

Had lunch on 26th August 2023. The service we received from our waitress Hannah was very efficient and friendly, which made our lunch very enjoyable. We sat in the covered outside area which was nice enough. The food was good but did not quite match the service sorry. Have eaten here a few times over the years and overall never been disappointed to be fair. Thank you Hannah for making our lunch fun,

Came here for a Birthday Dinner last week and had a great experience. The menu was great, a good selection of Meals and Roasts (as it was a Sunday) and despite it being a Sunday evening everything was still available. The food was well presented and fresh I couldn't fault it. Service was great slightly slow but that's if I had to nit-pick something of the evening it would be that. The drinks and food are fairly priced and portions are great too. The atmosphere is very homely pub and the tables are nicely spaced so you're not sat on top of each other. I would definitely return for another meal here. Ver carta
