The Green Man - Carta

Use this for cheap , filling family get togethers. Always large portion sizes but does offer take out carton! Wide menu to cater for everyone’s needs from toddlers to over 90’s.

Ate here on 15th at 1pm. Very busy on arrival but service was very good. Decent size menu to choose from and with many specials. Excellent for gluten free. Four of us had two courses plus a round of drinks for less than £90. Would...use again. Most clientele on our visit were of an age which might limit posting reviews good of bad!

We have been going to the Green Man for many years, so we were disappointed when it changed ownership. We were used to a friendly atmosphere where everyone greeted us warmly and the food was always excellent. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. There is now a lack of greeting when we enter, and the food quality has declined. It is very sad to see this change happen. Ver carta

We love locally and arrived mid-afternoon with our golden retriever puppy to be turned away as they ‘don’t allow dogs’. The few customers were supportive and made a fuss of the puppy before we had to leave and take our custom elsewhere. With local village...pubs closing at an alarming rate, perhaps pub owners need to be more inclusive and have dog-friendly areas. Disappointing.

We stumbled upon this lovely pub by chance after losing our way. We originally just wanted a light bite, but when we saw someone else's burger, we couldn't resist ordering one ourselves. It was really delicious and the portion size was just right for us! All of the staff were pleasant and efficient, no complaints there. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely be returning.

This is our third visit to The Green Man and once again, the food did not disappoint. The service provided by the two waitresses was fantastic, despite the busy bank holiday. They handled the demanding pressure brilliantly. We just ask that visitors be patient as The Green Man is currently understaffed, but it is not the fault of the staff. With great service and generous portions of food, we cannot let another village pub go unnoticed. Ver carta

Not at all the pub or food listed on their website. Obviously this should have been taken down as these are new owners. No wine list no starters generic main courses obviously bought in! Dirty sticky tables filthy disabled toilet. Lovely...young waitress who had obviously no training! She was very sweet and polite but really didn't know the ropes at all. Obviously not her fault. It would be a pity to lose another local pub but unless the owners up their game considerably they'll not be in business very long!

we have been eating at the green man in shepreth for years. it was always nice pub giving a good selection of qualitatiw high quality English pub grub and a beautiful atmosphere. Unfortunately, our last visit was a total disappointment. first, I was surprised that we could even book a table, but in the future it was more shocked that the place on Friday night was practically empty. every night of the week it was so far. then wait a bit the menu came and it seemed clear that this was now different management has destroyed another big pub. no appetizers, no pages, boring generic menu, most like precooked and heated. eating was worse, soggy chips, dry burgers, boiled and burned speck. hunters c...

Party of 10 booked in at the Green man Shepreth for 3pm, we arrived at 10 to 3 but had to wait 15 minutes to be taken to our table. We tried to order the Sunday roast but were told that the kitchen stopped doing...that at 3. My wife said it's a shame we weren't told that when we made the booking then the rude waiter said well if you had got here on time you might have been able to order a roast My wife explained we had arrived early but the waiter accused her of lying. I had to step in to say I wanted the waiter to stop being rude and aggressive.
