The Green Man - Carta

Average food. Disappointed with the BBQ, more of an outdoor hot plate. £19 for 4 tiny prawns and a sad looking salad. Could have done a lot better.

First time at the green man and what a find! Friendly staff, great selection of food and drink and two lovely outdoor seating areas. We will definitely be back!

Stopped here after the Duxford airshow to rehydrate. Lovely place, lovely situation, great staff, pleasant outdoor area, nice staff, spotless toilets. Recommended. Ver carta

Popped in for lunch after visiting Duxford. Great pub, friendly staff, tasty food and big portions and a lovely pint of Wherry. This is all a pub should be and pleased to find it.

Food at Green Man usually Rey good, but this evening it was very very average , service slow , burger was tough , bun was hard and chips were more like scraps. Ham was watery and tasteless, let’s hope this was a blip in what is normally a good menu at a local pub.

We booked in advance and glad we did as it was really busy, the food was 1st class and a young man waiting on was very friendly and professional, taking time to apologise for some delays. Very ample portions of Fish chips and Macaroni cheese , can't wait to visit again. Ver carta

Been in a few times and the food always looked good but we’d never ordered so thought we’d revisit and try a roast. So glad we did as the food was amazing! Beautifully cooked and delicious. Really friendly, helpful staff, great service and some decent Ales. Will definitely be back again.

Disappointing evening . Sticky table on arrival , served by numerous staff who really need some training in table service . Quite generous portions served in deep bowls which made it tricky to see what you were eating . Wine list poorly printed so had to ask for another . Didn’t stay for dessert and the fact we were the only people in the pub at 8.30 pm on a Friday night probably tells you how things have changed since our last visit a few years ago .

We visited here as a family for Sunday lunch many times before, but the past 2 experiences mean we won’t be repeating it. There is a complete disregard for allergies. Our child has a serious dairy allergy and food arrived topped with a Yorkshire pudding. The young staff were a disgrace. They were lolling around chatting to friends on the other side of the bar who were loudly swearing. My husband mentioned to the waitress that this wasn’t a suitable conversation around diners. She was totally uninterested. Towards the end of our meal many the young staff upped and left leaving just one girl on the bar who also was serving the few diners there were. She said they’d all walked out and left her... Ver carta
