A pint and a half of Lager with two Calamari starters as a snack came to £34.65 with service. Absolutely ludicrous prices never again?

We had a wonderful day in beautiful Greenwich when we came upon an ideal spot for lunch for 5. The atmosphere is delightful and the food was quite good. We had a fish burger, beef burger, chicken burger, falafel platter and a bruschetta plus of course a Guinness. Great stop in a great city. Ver carta

We used to frequent this place for standard lunch and Sunday lunch. It was always great but on a visit in December we recieved slow service and the food wasn't up to the quality we're used to. They were clearly too busy to provide the service we've been used to over the years but it looked like they were still accepting walk-ins. A real disappointment. will probably give it another go after the December busy season but wed not go back if we had a similar expereince.

Found a black hair in my food. It was inside my burger, my friend then found a small black hair next to her food on her plate hiding behind a condiment. We were told by waiting staff that there was no lady in the kitchen so it couldn’t have happened in there. It could have easily been a man’s hair who wasn’t wearing a hairnet. Made me feel so sick to bite into my burger and find a hair. The waitress allowed us to just pay for one meal, but wasn’t very happy with how the situation was handled and we were made to feel we might be lying. Not very Christmassy other than that great cocktails atmosphere.

Went to the Greenwich Tavern today for lunch. We were given a nice big table, great with 3 kids. Unfortunately it was near the bar food service area, very noisy. The waiter didn’t understand the order for real ale and had go to find out what to put on his pad. We ordered the kids meals to come at the same time as a sharing starter and main courses to follow. All meals arrived at the same time. We explained to the waitress that we had asked for the main course to come after our starter so they took them away and left them sitting in plain view at the end of the bar. When they were served to us they were, unsurprisingly, cold. I pointed this out to the supervisor who said she would change them... Ver carta
