Good food and service but the toilets required attention. Dropped in for lunch (no booking) showed us straight to a lovely table. Great service and food at a reasonable price. Will definitely visit again.

Very welcoming and warm. I've been here many times and it is consistently excellent. Special thanks to Alice and Owen who helped us today, our glasses were never empty and the food came out quickly. Very easy to park, there's always space in the overflow area if needed.

This is the second time I have eaten here as it's a convenient half-way venue to meet up with an old friend. Not only it is a sort of Tardis inside as it's very spacious with several eating areas but it has a nice garden too. The service, food and overall ambience were first rate and I'll aim to eat here again soon. Ver carta

I visit regularly and the food choice and quality is great. The service is also excellent and friendly as shown by Shona who looked afer our table of 4 today. The choiceof beers is good too and I can thoroughtly recommend this pleasing pub for value as well. They provide a voucher incentive scheme which gives significant discounts on future meals too.

Went for lunch after seeing a recommendation on a coeliac forum. I was not disappointed. Since being diagnosed as coeliac 3yrs ago, I have not enjoyed a ‘pub’ lunch so much. The choice for gluten free food is very good and d the staff appeared confident in their understanding of catering for coeliacs. I had a feta salad to start which was so tasty and the lamb as main superb. The choice of gluten free puddings were brownie (as always), cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding (which was delicious). All the ice creams were also gluten free. The pub was busy but there were plenty of staff around and all were lovely. Thank you for offering such a good ‘normal’ choice for gluten free you made my day...

Visited with my husband to meet my family as it 's our halfway meeting point for lunch we 've been here a good 15 times over a good 10 or so years. Arrived, but as we were walking in, we were just glared at by 4 or 5 staff until I said hello (met with silence) we 've got a table booked was OK after that unnecessarily awkward welcome, though, the other staff did sort of hang around a bit longer when they weren 't needed.... Welcome score 1 out of 5!! We were sat down service was very good after that. Waitress service 5 out of 5. Food was very nice plated very neatly. 5 out of 5 Sat outside in their very nice garden for a coffee afterwards, very nice relaxing- 5 out of 5. Overall score 4 out o... Ver carta
