Food and staff really good. Restaurant was really cold though

We decided not to use the restaurant because of the very limited lunch menu

Service was good, rectified any issues I had quickly, would say the restaurant very dark, made things interesting reading menu seeing food etc. Food was ok but wouldn’t say value for money.

Service was quite slow, although staff were very pleasant. Food was not brought at the same time for all 4 diners. The room was very cold and this impacted the food. Overall an average experience.

Great food overnight stay with a lovely room as always. Asked for a ground floor room as my Daughter is 8 months pregnant and this was no bother at all. Service is great, Staff are so pleasant helpful. Used the leisure facilities for the first time it was lovely relaxing. Would highly recommend.

We arrived early so that we could chat before our lunch and were immediately offered drinks which were served promptly. However when we were ready for lunch the service was very slow taking our order, serving the food and even to the point of us having to look for someone to get coffee and the bill. We had sandwiches which were fine and reasonably priced but the standard of service was poor.

The service was incredibly slow, and there were several items missing from the menu. The menu we received was different from what was advertised online. There were only two options for children, and the portions were very small—just half a bowl of watery soup for £7.00! It's too pricey for what you actually get. Even though there were many staff members around, no one came to check on our table to see if we needed anything. We arrived 15 minutes early at a half-empty restaurant, but we were still told we had to wait until our reservation time.

Initially, we were seated at a table meant for four. The server appeared confused and asked us to wait in the bar area while they arranged an extra setting. During this time, we received no service and had to get our own drinks from the bar. After a wait of about 15 minutes, we finally sat down at our table. We ordered two rigatoni, one burger, fish and chips, and a Niçoise salad with tuna. Instead, we were served three rigatonis, the fish and chips, and a Niçoise salad without tuna. The server took the rigatoni back and eventually returned with the burger when our food finally arrived. The burger was almost thrown onto the table and landed on the floor, and the server did not pick it up....

--- Our dining experience was enjoyable overall. The food was nice and served hot, and both the waitress and waiter were pleasant and engaging. The drinks arrived promptly, and we didn’t have to wait long for our courses, which was a plus. However, we did encounter a few issues. The restaurant felt a bit under-staffed, and some of the tables were not cleared. We were initially given the wrong menu and had to inquire for about ten minutes to confirm it was correct. Our server didn’t check if we had a menu, which led to us receiving the festive menu instead. Luckily, another employee stepped in to help her.
