"Our family's Christmas was completely ruined by our experience at this restaurant. We had booked a Christmas lunch reservation for 2pm, with our allotted time slot being from 2-4pm. However, we ended up leaving after just 2 hours and 10 minutes, having only received our starters. The soup we were served was cold and came without a spoon, accompanied by a small piece of bread and a knife. When we asked for a refund, the manager refused to refund our entire table. Despite being told that our food was on the way, we waited another hour with no sign of it. Eventually, most of the restaurant's patrons had had enough and left, all demanding refunds. The manager never came out to address the situation or apologize for the lengthy wait. Instead, young servers were left to deal with the angry customers, which included every table in the restaurant. This was our first time eating out on Christmas Day, and unfortunately, this experience has completely ruined it for us. We had to come home hungry and find something else to eat. We definitely do not recommend this restaurant and have no intention of returning."

"Not so lucky if you're hungry. After waiting almost an hour after our booked lunch slot, the food was ok. When I complained to the waiter after our meal about the delay, apparently it was our fault for not ordering starters as tables with starters are priority. And I was supposed to psychically know the hake was an additional 25 mins. Suggest management invests in better organising staff capacity and bookings, and some staff training.In response to the owner's response. We most certainly were not told in advance that there would be a wait, for other tables or for the hake , and the waiter did indeed say that tables with starters were prioritised. So correct your staff, not me."

"I can honestly say I’ve never had a worse dining experience in my life. The menu is very confusing and printed in basic word. There is no indication when booking of the menu being mostly a Malaysian menu. If you’re going for a classic pub meal as we were, this is not the restaurant for you. We would have been happy to trial some Malaysian cuisine, but the menu was so confusing and complicated it put half of our diners off this selection. No guidance or enthusiasm from the servers either might I add. Regardless of what we ordered off the menu, the food quality was terrible. The fish was mushy and tasteless, the gammon steak minimally cooked, frozen garlic bread and chicken wings. And the lamb curry and rice dish left our diners fearing for food poisoning. One of the dishes had a half eaten tangerine segment on the side! Excluding one kind server that took some money off our menu, the service was also terrible. Despite an empty restaurant the server missed two dishes, and one server rudely dropped an unexplained appetiser on the table. I’m disgusted that with money off we paid £80, after the owner agree to remove just £10 from our meal despite very poor quality and service. Would I recommend? Absolutely not. "They sold us a totally burnt-in-the-bottom pizza, something not healthy and disgusting to eat. They check if pizzas are ready, precisely checking the bottom, so there is no way they did not notice. Instead of doing it again, they preferred to sell it to us. Once contacted, they just replied, “sorry, it shouldn’t have happened”. Did not offer another pizza or any compensation. Really no forward-looking; they lost five loyal customers. It’s probably their standard."

"2 adults 1child I'll start with the positive first the girls were lovely. Now the negatives ordered a latte coffee which was undrinkable as it was so bitter. 2main courses were ok but 1 was terrible, it was meant to be a chicken burger bit it was just a lump of undercooked chicken that was full of water had some blood init, on a bun definitely wasnt a chicken burger, it got sent straight back, my b/f was offered another meal bit he lost his appitite after seeing that. He ordered a drink that never arrived. Our granddaughter ordered caramel apple pie ice cream the pie was lukewarm at best the pastry wasnt cooked properly either. We've been coming to the stables on and off for years and the food has always been good but unfortunately i cant say the same for the food now,I dont know if it's changed hands, but the food and menu is nowhere near as good as it used to be. So on that, we sadly wont be going back."
