This small yet charming pub/restaurant offers delicious meals at affordable prices. Whenever I visit Derby, I make sure to come here because my sister works here.

Good music and good value drinks. Have not been for a very long time and it has changed since I last went (no longer serves food and more open plan than it was). Won't leave it as long until I next go,

As a family we visited the Half Moon for dinner. We had 2 sharing platters of 5 dishes and they were excellent. A good atmosphere with well kept ale. Well worth a visit and we shall certainly be going back Ver carta

Friendly pub, food and drinks always good. Very clean, never a sticky table. Lots of little extras- blankets for sitting outside, umbrellas, doggy biscuits, children's corner with toys and shelves with books to exchange.

The price for the food was surprisingly low considering the quality. We ordered two fish and chips meals with mushy peas and a child's chicken meal for less than £10! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I can't wait to visit again.

Visited here as a group of Newcastle fans, pre match against Derby, made welcome, Sky Sports, dog friendly, nice garden out back, decent pint at a decent price. Serving platters of 5 dishes god value for money and tasty. Would go back if in the area. £6 pound between 4 taxi to the game. Ver carta

The food is cooked exceptionally well at this restaurant. My husband particularly enjoyed the steak and ale pie with mash and gravy, while I have tried both the smothered chicken and the scampi, both of which were hot, well presented, and served by very friendly staff. You can't go wrong with 2 meals for £7.99. The past four Wednesdays have been a delightful experience.

One of my regular places to eat and drink, the food is such good value for money and the menu has plenty of choice for vegetarians too which suits me. The presentation and quality of food is fantastic. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, you can grab a burger with chips and salad for £5.95 with a soft drink/pint/glass of wine. Other options available are 2 4 £10 and have more choice. Great pub!

Although the half moon is not a wine bar and doesn't have fancy lighting and seating and inside its a pretty average pub with old fashion decor their price for food and drink is amazing. Two meals for £8 bottles of wine for under £10 and cocktails at £4! Come here with my friend for a regular catch up and cocktail wine sesh wouldn't go anywhere else! Plus the beer garden is beautiful and is so nice to relax in on a warm Summer's evening! Ver carta
