I've been to the Hawk multiple times. The service is excellent, and the food is delightful. The only downside is that there isn't enough parking available. Ver carta

eating was amazing, best I had in a long time. the personal was friendly and could not do enough for us. the prices are a bit high, but for a special occasion it is worth visiting

Lovely pub in a beautiful place but food lacked taste.... Rum baba lacked rum; and fishcakes lacked crab and prawn, potato was the dominant taste. The sirloin steak was, as always, to die for

Anna, our waitress, was excellent as we had two very elderly relatives with us and she looked after us exceptionally well with kindness and humour. Sea bass was lovely and the chicken tasty but the fish cakes, although piping hot, with a nice crunchy exterior and nicely flavoured were very runny when you cut into them and had little substance. Creme Brulee and Eton Mess were lovely desserts. Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff.

I have visited the Hawk numerous times and have consistently received great service along with delicious meals. This visit was no different. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and attentive without being overbearing, and the food was served hot, perfectly cooked, and tasted fantastic. There are options for every palate, and one member of our group had the vegetarian burger, which she said was excellent. I will definitely return again and again!

Lovely food and a good choice of menus. Our group all had different menu choices and all were happy with what they ate. The waitress was very helpful, friendly and polite. Ambience was good and the loos were nice and clean. We were a bit nonplussed as to the handwritten suggestion that we pay 10% on top of the bill. A bit of a cheek when we always pay more than that as a tip. We paid around what the suggested amount was which meant the staff would lose out. I suppose some people don’t leave a generous tip? The Hawk is always a lovely place to visit. Our little group has been there many times over the years. We’ll be back! Ver carta
