Useful place to visit close the the Derby Mickleover Hotel. A true Ember Inn pub with a varied menu and nice ambiance. Food was nice and we had 3 courses served with a smile by good quality staff. Ver carta

Food took a while to come out as the place was very busy but when it did arrive it was well worth the wait, we had the rib beef Sunday dinner, it was hot and tasty and the beef rib melted in your mouth . Would definitely eat there again

We visit here a couple times a month and we have never had a bad experience. The staff are super friendly the service is great, the food is really nice and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is really cosy and chilled. Haven’t got anything bad to say about this place

Staff here are lovely and place has a good ambience. Have eaten here many times before and whilst not corden bleu always acceptable. Tonight not so good ordered the beef rib new addition to the menu. Horrible full of fat and salt. Partner ordered the posh fish and chips. Mainly consisted of burnt batter. Very disappointed. Manager did offer us 20% off the bill However will not return Ver carta

Service was excellent, drinks arrived very quickly after ordering on their app. After ordering our meals, (Fish and chips for me and steak and ale pie for my wife) these also arrived promptly. Both meals were very good, chips in particular were great. Only one small negative point was the choice in desserts was disappointing. Especially as it is currently outside dining a hot pudding would have been preferred, either Apple pie and custard or a sticky toffee pudding.

Great service and a much welcomed opening. Waiting months for a pint rather focusses the mind to the glass in hand. While enjoying a couple of pints a few days after the pub reopened I was impressed how the staff were coping with a difficult scenario for them. The service via an app works well for customers. The two young women serving food and drinks and the guy on the door were all splendid. I’ve only visited a couple of times before lockdown as had just moved to Littleover. I will be back. Thanks for making my first pint of Doombar so enjoyable.

We were greeted by a lovely host, who ran us through the covid rules and all about how to order through the app, we were shown round to the garden where our friend was waiting for us. The garden looked refreshed and bright, they had a new outdoor temporary cover which is great for outside drinking and dining.We used the app with ease and bought several lovely refreshing pints. The first round was served by a lady, who made us feel very welcome and was super friendly she was wearing solar system lanyard which I thought was very cool. The second round was delivered by a charming gentleman, who easily persuaded us to try the 2for1 cocktails which were made to perfection. We ordered a burger and... Ver carta
