The Huntsman Carvery

3 course set menu for Sunday lunch, we managed 2 courses and brought the deserts home. Food delicious. Staff very helpful and accomodating.

Great food. Shame the takeaway service is poor.why have a system that clearly doesn’t work. A response would be good or an answered phone call rather than letting people wait a whole day. And then tell them there are no slots Service: 1

Fab meal. Particularly the beef, which was tender and a choice of rare through to well done. Selection of extras to go with the 3 mats was also great. Portions were large. The only downside was that small eaters don't get so much value. Lovely staff.

John the manager was great ,very people friendly,he introduced us to smoke turkey it was delicious and also provide for my wife gluten and dairy free needs,Amy and all the staff was very professional, the chef's were very accomodating especially to dietary needs would definitely recommend to friends

(do not try the smoked truthahn or sink, but they also looked great and I would have had a mixed meat plate if I wished- great to have the choice! everything cooked for perfection! will recommend to all my Carnivore friends!

The second time I've visited and I must say the food is always delicious. Just a bit disappointed in the service last time as nobody told us when last chance was for the buffet and upon receiving our bottle of wine we waited 10 minutes until reminding staff we needed glasses to go with it. However there was one young waitress named Bella who was friendly and polite so thanks.

The food was delicious and plentiful. The Chef kept piling so much meat on my plate I assumed I was a family of four. The waitstaff were super friendly and visited the table so often they should have just pulled up a chair. The kitchen even made Gluten Free gravy just for me and made a point of letting me know what was ok for me to eat. Apart from a little confusion over the bill which was sorted quickly, it was a fantastic meal.

Went here yesterday after getting married along relatives and family members 15 in total Manager all the waitresses were fantastic polite and courteous. Menu was great the cavery one of the best I've ever had even my family from Birmingham said this was better than these so called chain caveries they have been to and would just drive up just to come here. Overall going the to huntsman just topped off what was already been a great one had to leave £30 tip they deserved it tbh 10/10 not high enough in my eyes

Not great. Done it. Once is enough. meat was mostly ok, but my son had 50% fat on his 3 large slices of beef. He got lower half of joint which was poor. So most of his was waste. Lager was flat. Table all sticky, like fresh varnish feel. Seating not comfortable. Pork offering wasn't there so no idea why Sunday was extra money as only 3 offerings same as Saturday. Meant to be 4. Except gammon instead of pork. You get lots of food but I guess hit,miss on quality. Some like fat. We certainly don't. Pudding nice. Stater OK.
