The Ickleton Lion - Menú

Amazing pub with great food a friendly, local atmosphere. Have frequented The Lion a few times, always great but most recently came in for Sunday Lunch with my partner. The food was amazing the staff very friendly.

Driving past we decided to stop for lunch and were well pleased The welcome was very pleasant and the premises very welcoming We both enjoyed a very good lunch with the most wonderful fries Will certainly call again

Terrible experience! Such a shame on Father’s Day. £17 for a tiny roast dinner, £7 for the tiniest piece of bland cheesecake. Only 1 beer on draught and no coke! No atmosphere, I wondered why we were only 1 of 3 families in there! Garden overgrown and messy, really uninviting, just such a shame. Was very different years ago.

Waited for over an hour at lunchtime for 3 x baguettes! The pub was busy, but even the bar service was slow The lady behind the bar was wearing chef whites (well not very White to be honest) so assuming she was working both areas Food came with browning salad (well just a bit of very on the turn lettuce) no apology for the 1hr 20 minute wait lots of others complaining too! Such a shame as last time we visited only a couple of months ago it was completely different.

We have dined at this restaurant three or four times now, and this last visit was the most unsatisfactory. The food was mediocre, and there were only six people in the restaurant, resulting in a lack of atmosphere compared to our previous visits. The garden was in desperate need of maintenance and looked unappealing. Unfortunately, this will be our last visit for the foreseeable future. It is clear that the restaurant requires a lot of care and attention, which is disappointing to see.

Came here tonight with my son, brother and husband. We had a lovely time, the bar lady and the owner were both friendly and welcoming, my son has additional needs and was really chuffed he was allowed to play swingball and was given some ice pops! Its genuinely nice pub, glorious pizza! Friendly doggos too that enjoyed all the pets! I do think some of the recent bad reviews are terribly enough with all the things the pub's owners have gone through last year and this year, people need to be kind!

Visited for a company meal with 23 staff members. Mike was fantastic, he arranged a menu to be sent prior to our booking and we were able to make a pre-order. On arrival he asked if we would like to sit in the garden in the sun for our starters and drinks or our tables were ready inside. He rearranged the furniture to accommodate the whole team and starters were served promptly and hot. Moving inside for our mains, which were served fresh, presented beautifully and served with a smile. Oh no. What has happened to the Lion? It used to be a fantastic spot for delicious, straightforward pub fare served efficiently and with a smile. I feel reluctant to leave a negative review, but the Lion really needs to step up its game. After dining out for the first time in weeks, we were disappointed to receive very average food after waiting for an hour, served by a seemingly unhappy waitress. I have been a customer at The Lion for more than 25 years. It used to be great with a wide variety of drinks, beers, and some delicious food - the chili and chips were especially fantastic. However, in recent years, there have been multiple changes in management and menu. During my visit yesterday for a business lunch, I was very disappointed. We were bothered by the owner's dogs upon arrival and throughout our meal. Many of the beers were not good, with only one option available that was very cloudy and had particles in it.
