The Jetty, Ocean Village

My favourite restaurnat in Southampton. Had two bisiness meetings here qithin a coupke of weeks and the second was warm enough to eat outside. The views are great (I love to eat by water! service is fantastic and food is very good

Had a lovely dinner in the Jetty. Lovely service. Also thoroughly enjoyed our nightcap with the talented bar man Marcio. Fun and knowledgeable. We ended up having 3 rounds of night caps. Big thanks to the Jetty team and in particularly to Marcio

Wow!! This was a really lovely and memorable evening. Made so much more so by restaurant manager Barrie, who couldn’t have been more fabulous. Food is excellent, beautifully presented and so delicious. We were lucky enough to eat in one of the jetty pods and were made to feel really special by Barrie. Very good quality cooking in a modern environment. A slightly relaxed, laissez fair, French pace of service. Set Sunday lunch was very reasonable very good quality. The roast alternative was generous, served with an enormous (slightly overdone ??? Yorkshire pudding I comment gazing across the room as they are wafted in, as opposed to eating one. Good wine selection. The soft shell crab risotto was delicious.

We unfortunately experienced a long wait before our drinks order was taken at the restaurant. The staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving customers nearby. We had to approach them after 10 minutes to inquire about placing our order. While the food was of good quality, the table service was lacking. The restaurant was not at full capacity and there were enough wait staff, but they were not very attentive. After our meal, we attempted to order more drinks and again had to wait for a long time before asking for assistance. We hadn't booked and were pleasantly surprised to get a table on a Friday evening. Initially, we found the restaurant staff unwelcoming and not particularly friendly. However, after making conversation, both our servers turned out to be professional, warm, and chatty. I had delicious scallops to start, but it was a small portion for £16. My partner had the wonderful cheese souffle, which never disappoints. I had the bream with stir fry vegetables from the specials menu and this was superb. My partner had the Sirloin steak with Bearnaise sauce which he thoroughly enjoyed. We shared the mango cheesecake with coconut sorbet and I wish that we had ordered one each as it was so good.
