"I just have to say the staff owner of the pub treat the traders on the market so well! Most other pubs require us to buy a drink to use the toilet every single time which becomes pricey, the cross keys is the only pub that kinda just lets us run in as and when we need and of course in return we buy a coffee or two to say thanks. Even if we didn’t buy drinks they wouldn’t deny traders using their toilet and it makes all the difference to us. Simple nice gestures like that go along way! Selfless and pleasant staff"

"We had an absolutely fantastic meal here today! I was dining with my children, and the waiter took the time to show my son how to twirl his spaghetti on his fork just like “real Italians.” He also brought balloons for both of my kids. Everything was perfect, and nothing was too much trouble. The experience was wonderful, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you so much!"

"Lovely, traditional, well appointed village inn across the road from the Church. The en-suite rooms were well furnished with comfortable beds. We had the full English breakfast the next day which was excellent. The staff, led by Ellen were friendly and helpful."

"Hmmmm.... Has gone a bit downhill since our previous visits. This is/was our go to lunch venue whilst visiting Sherborne... I'm now not so sure that it's retained that status after today. I've had the quiche and salad before, and it's a bountiful generous serving of salad, plus a decent wedge of quiche. I have to say the portion size is about half at least a third less than our regular visits. I know that cost of living and business costs have increased, but I'd rather have the same quality and pay the price increment. Added to that, the quiche crust had that transparent uncooked pastry texture, and the taste proved it uncooked through. I did point this out to the staff, but they didn't seem interested and not even an apology."

"Finally, a pub with food as beautiful as its garden! We chose to dine in the "Garden Room" which featured a fine dining menu and we were not let down. The food was exceptional, prepared with top-notch ingredients and flavors by the chef. I ordered the sirloin and my friend had the duck - both dishes were equally delicious. The chef even surprised us with complimentary "taster" plates in between courses. Overall, a wonderful dining experience."
