Family birthday meal with my children grandchildren. Amazing Sunday lunch, hot, plentiful great service. Children gluten intolerant catered for. Always has some lovely specials, save room for a pudding, they are great too.

Great experience. I visited this restaurant several years ago and I'm happy to see that their high standards have been maintained. I went on 'steak night' yesterday and the food was expertly cooked, the portion size was good, plates were warm, and the service was friendly and professional. Definitely worth the price. Ver carta

Great welcome as a walk in for a light lunch. Manager (I think), carried beers to table. They have tables reserved for drinkers, which is a welcome change from the norm. My chum had prawn sesimi toast which looked and tasted super. I had whitebait. Good beers. Genteel clientele on a Thursday. A refreshingly well run pub.

I had a great experience at this welcoming and accommodating pub. I had to change the number of guests for our Sunday lunch, but they handled it graciously. The food was exceptional, especially the rare Lambs liver that I ordered. The roast dinners also impressed, offering three different sizes. The HSB beer was a nice addition to the meal. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

We went for meal on 7th September I had lasagna and chips the chips were not nice at all what ever the oil they cooked them in was horrible the garlic bread was just a piece of bread squared with bit garlic on the bread was tough boots the lasagna was very hot my partner had scampi and chips and peas the scampi was not hot the peas were hard and the chips was cooked in oil so we was not please with this meal disappointed it was all poor Price per person: £30–40 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Ver carta
