The Longhouse - Carta

This place is truly magical no matter the season. Today, our children got to meet Santa and were so excited! It was well worth it. The food is great too.

This charming venue by the coast is a favorite stop when biking in the area. It is always clean and welcoming, and I look forward to bringing my family here for a meal in the future.

Disappointed with the Sunday lunch .the roast potatoes and parsnips were fried in a deep fat fryer and so hard I was unable to cut them and there was nothing inside them practically inedible. .The gravy was the consistency of water and the whole meal was under or non seasoned . We were staying literally opposite Jacks so had to try it and really enjoyed it! The food was freshly cooked, really tasty and big portions! Staff were really friendly and helpful and we felt really at home straightaway. Also, I just have to mention the biggest teacakes I've ever eaten in my life delicious!

In early September 2023, we decided to dine here on our last night at Trewent Park. The experience did not disappoint. The portions were generous and flavoursome. We'd especially recommend the burgers to anyone looking for a hearty and delicious meal. The staff were welcoming and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience.

We visited yesterday after walking from Manobier, what amazing staff, all so helpful and welcoming, with a special mention and thank you to Julie and Nigel!! The menu offers a lot of choice and everything we ate was delicious and beautifully cooked. We were advised on arrival to book a table and I can see why, it became busy very quickly! Ver carta

Jack's is in a beautiful location, right by the sea. The staff are friendly but the menu is very limited, good if you like burgers. I had the chicken and bacon salad and there was very little of either in it. My husband did have a burger which he said was okay, he'd had better. The place didn't have much atmosphere. Shame it could be so much more.

This restaurant is a fantastic place to enjoy a delicious meal. While not overly fancy, the food is well-prepared and beautifully presented. The restaurant is dog-friendly and appears to be well-managed with plenty of activities available. The staff are exceptional and deserve special recognition for their excellent service. It is evident that they are well-trained and provide great hospitality.

All in all it was a bit of a disaster! We walked down on Monday (google said it was open, but it wasn’t , returned tonight. Front door difficult to open (wooden+probably swollen from the wet Welsh rain , walked in, not greeted by the staff at all. Ordered a drink and asked for some menus, asked if we had booked (we hadn’t , asked what time we wanted to order (needed to be written in the diary as the kitchen ‘won’t be able to cope’, written in for 1730, wanted to sit outside (had a toddler , bit of attitude from the staff saying if we wanted to sit outside we needed to pay when we ordered (not an issue but could have phrased it slightly better (I suspect they had had problems with folk leavin...
