"Our fish and chips were great. Fish was fresh and cooked very well, the chips were also very good. It's popular with locals and the large waiting area was busy and friendly. We had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes, they seem to cook every order from scratch, so the food was great. The home made Tartar sauce was excellent, i recommend trying that. Kid-friendliness: Great selection of kid meals. Plenty of food and large enough for big hungry boys up to 10 or 11 years old. Wheelchair accessibility: Shop on the same level as the garage forecourt outside, so good accessibility."

The chips wernt nice at all , all dark brown colour also bread rolls I was asked if I wanted them buttered I said yes I did not expect to see half a packet of hard butter stuck like a lump it was gross. Amazing fish and chips! We are staying in Burnham Market and decided to have a chippy tea we chose the Mermaid Chip Shop as it was closest to the accommodation. Definitely among the best fish and chips I have had in a while; the curry sauce was very good too. Food was cooked to order, but the service was quick and efficient.
