Rooms: The rooms are spotless clean and tidy. Very cosy, a comfy bed and a good size ensuite. Food drinks: The food is fantastic. We had a great home cooked evening meal and a full English the following morning (loved every bite). Rooms: 5"

"We were holidaying again in Brancaster and decided to book a table in the restaurant here on our penultimate night. The restaurant has lovely views and a relaxed coastal ambience. Our food was lovely, we both had the scallops starter, chicken main and lemon tart and Choux dessert. Slight criticism from myself as one of my scallops was slightly over cooked although my husband said his were perfect. We had a very nice bottle of wine plus water. I have taken a star off though as we both felt our waitress, although exceedingly polite, was slightly disinterested in what she was doing and not fully concentrated on the job in hand and also the over cooking of one of my scallops. Having said that, it was a nice touch that a more senior member of staff went round asking had we enjoyed our meal. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would return next year if we revisit."

"Stayed at the ship on a couple of occasions and eaten here often , we came for Sunday lunch last Sunday and as usual it was excellent. Only negative thing that I could say was that the service was slow . This is in no way a reflection of the staff , they work so hard and are so friendly they are a credit to the place. It seems to me that they are very understaffed and the owners should invest in extra staff instead of putting the current team under so much pressure."

"My wife and I stayed here for a few days to celebrate my birthday. We chose Titchwell Manor due to its location on the A149. From here we can catch the Coasthopper up or down the coast. The bus stops are 100 metres outside the hotel. We were greeted in the car park and shown to our room behind the hotel. We had Basil number 21. It is a large comfortable room, with walk in shower and the fluffiest towels we have ever had. The room was very well heated and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was served from a civilised 8am. The plate of fresh fruit was really good. If you choose to have you eggs poached they will be the most perfect you will ever have with their lovely orange yokes. The rest of the components were equally good and served with leaf tea or great coffee. The bars each had a lovely roaring log fire, where we enjoyed a drink before our meal. The menu choices we made were ham hock, brioche piccalilli and burnt apple purée followed by venison, Jerusalem artichoke and rainbow kale. The other choice was marinated beetroot, basil pesto and goats cheese cream followed by salt baked celeriac, sage and onion with crispy kale. Both meals were outstanding. The venison was very tender and the celeriac was outstanding. On the basis of this dish, a very under stated vegetable. Service was very good and served at a speed we dictated without the continual pestering we have experienced elsewhere. We will definitely come back here as the whole stay was a great experience."

"Stayed for two nights in a deluxe room with my dogs. The room was lovely and comfortable and the bathroom had a fantastic freestanding bath so felt very luxurious. Treats and a dog walk map were provided for the dogs. There is a big field next to the hotel for exercising dogs which is a great idea. You can walk to Brancaster beach easily too.This is a truly dog friendly hotel! There's also a big play area if staying with children. Breakfast each morning was excellent and plentiful. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was great. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I have only put 4 stars because it seemed that they were short staffed in the evenings when we were eating in the restaurant so service was a little slow. Would definitely recommend Briarfields to anyone wanting a relaxing break on the Norfolk coast. Lovely rooms, great food and a fantastic location."
