Only good for a beer. Stopped off here whilst walking along the canal. Food not very good, not seasoned, no taste at all. But very good for chillin' outside by the canal drinking a cold beer.

it has a beautiful gin and craft beer dedicated menu. with the eating are the portions large, the aromen are all there the goat cheese sandwich is especially good and the potato wedges with cheese and truffle oil are beautiful.

The Narrow Boat has all the hallmarks of a great Sunday lunch pub good service, buzzing, slightly hungover conversation, great food. The vegetarian roast was generous and tasty, the burger cooked perfectly medium and the brioche bun fresh, the grilled chicken salad also hit the spot for our more health conscious lunch companions. The sausage roll on the bar snacks menu is a must try.

Great location, great pub. I had my second Christmas party here and was really impressed with the place again. I was happy with my food and the mulled wine was amazing (everything is better when its free! , I had 2 vegans in my group and they were both satisfied with their 3 courses, I do think the fruit salad is a predictable one but it is like it everywhere. Its good pub food, not a vegan or vegetarian speciality but I dont mind.

The Narrow Boat thrives in the summer due to its convenient location just of the canal. Punters can walk in straight after a stroll and order drinks that can be taken back out onto the canal in plastic cups. The place is swarming pretty much every time the sun shows its face. There are also to narrow balconies upstairs which look out on the canal, but be sure to book way in advance as they are always in demand. Poor food for vegans. I went to the Narrowboat for the first time for my work's Christmas meal. I am vegan and and had told the restaurant well in advance of this. Despite some initial confusion (the manager didn't seem to know the difference between vegan and gluten free! , I was provided with a vegan menu a few weeks before we were due to eat there. The menu looked quite good, other than the predictable fruit salad for dessert! However, on the day, I was given a completely different starter a really bland watery soup. What a fantasic time we had!. I would just like to say that I arranged my xmas work do at The Narrow Boat and it was wonderful. The entire party agreed that it was the best xmas meal we had ever had. The decor was really festive and as soon as we walked in we received a warm welcome from the staff who attended happily to all our needs. The menu was varied it was hard to choose but no one was disappointed and the portions were very generous. We are going to make sure we book early for this year as the organisation I work for many of the departments also had their xmas party there and they want to return as well.
