"The food came from the Dog and Fox inn, bradford on avon They are owned/run by the same family The pub (the 6 bells is a great venue With a big skittle alley (where food was laid out , the bar in the front room, and a wonderful dog friendly garden outback it was the perfect place for a wake. I was able to choose what music was played (All my mums favourite songs! and had time to set up a monitor with a slide show of photos of my mum. It was a really lovely day, with lovely staff, great drinks, wonderful food, and to top it off perfect weather. I'm so grateful to Tom and Clive for providing great food and a great venue for the day."

"We came to the Kings Arms in mid November last year and it was an average event. This time…. Well what a difference this time, new staff new menu new Chief absolutely brilliant. A table for 9, a baby, 2 Toddlers a 11 year old princess! And 5 Adults. Ordering was straightforward. No long waits, food came hot and on hot plates, quantities were very good… but by far the taste of the roast dinners were outstanding, the waiting staff Dom, Josh and the lady (didn’t catch her name sorry) were fantastic could not do enough for a challenging table, passed with flying colours. "Welcoming, friendly and cosy pub. Food is so far above typical pub fare. We visit to eat as well as drink. But there's no pressure on people wanting just a drink. All welcomed the same. We have never been disappointed by anything we've eaten. There's everything from wonderful pies and steaks with perfect piping hot fresh chips to home smoked fish and meat dishes, fresh fish and shellfish (weather permitting). The soups, sauces and gravies have real depth of flavour and are carefully chosen to complement the dish. And the homemade chocolates take chocolate to a whole new level. Small portions of everything are available for children. If you have any dietary requirements phone a couple of days ahead and let them know and the unfailingly helpful team will do everything they can to help."

"Firstly, if you are visiting for dinner have limited mobility you’re in for a tough time. Not only is it a distance from the car park the terrain isn’t the best, especially in the dark. It could absolutely do with better signage. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, relaxing, informal with friendly staff. The charcuterie plate was pleasant with plenty of pickles capers. A wider selection of meat would make this truly a stand out plate. The kedgeree scotch egg was a little bland very oily. The flavour was there, just really muted. Ribeye was particularly good value, not too fatty but more time could have been spent rendering this further. I didn’t appreciate the inclusion of the basting herbs, these were hidden under the steak easily found their spikey way into my mouth. The apple tart was disappointing rather expensive for the portion. The tart base was painfully brittle the filling a bland slightly sour apple purée. The Malbec wasn’t the best, very underwhelming, lacking colour fruit with very thin legs. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"If you eat-in they serve the chips in a mini replica frying basket (wrong) and there is no vinegar on the table just a wedge of lemon on your plate (wrong). Ketchup is in sachets instead of a sqeezy bottle (wrong). On the positive, the food is tasty and the service is fast. As importantly, the business name has a pun in it which is essential for a chippy: this plaice used to be called The Fat Friar with an image of a monk. As a result I had boycotted it for years as the pun only works if it had been named The Fat Fryer . You need to maintain standards."
