"The only pub we could get a table for Sunday lunch on Fathers Day we took a chance (after reading some of the dreadful reviews) and booked. Sadly the poor reviews were correct. Split into two with an area for eating and a bar section it was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday afternoon which gave a rather flat atmosphere. I will say all of the staff we dealt with were exceptionally friendly and helpful so from the outset we felt welcomed and looked after. Sadly this was the only positive of the lunch. Four out of five of us ordered the roast beef, unusually for a pub, there was no wine list so when the order was taken our server reeled off a number of drinks we could order which was not ideal as we had no idea of price. When the meal arrived the beef was inedible it was so tough, the roast potatoes were so hard you couldn't get a knife through them and a rather dry Yorkshire pudding. Limited veg was served with the meal but the gravy was decent. The fifth diner ordered burger and chips and had no complaints. We did complain about the roasts and one meal was deducted. We were charged £18 a head for the beef roast my advice is save yourself some pennies and go to your local Toby!"

This is a wonderful spot to enjoy a drink and chat with friends. The service and atmosphere both receive a rating of 5.

I could be popping in at the wrong times but what should be thriving pub is always fairly quiet. The pricing is to be expected for Sevenoaks high street but needs more support from people passing through.

Went for the LFC match, which was removed for viewing in favour of the adverts for the 6 Nations 20 minutes before match started. When we suggested basic common sense to staff we were, ‘not to be $hitty.’ Outrageous. We live in Sevenoaks, have been many times…. Would not go back if it were free!

Booked after seeing all their advertising to watch the 6 Nations on their Big Screen which looked ideal. Unfortunately what they didn't tell you was that the Big Screen was run off a firestick and a really dodgy Wi Fi which meant that we missed quite a bit of the game due to constant buffering. No one seemed to have an idea how to improve it. Won't be doing that again..

Great atmosphere, popular pub, lots of varied and cosy places to sit, with live music on a Friday evening. On the Friday we visited the menu was limited, nothing like the menu that’s shown online. There weren’t any healthy choices; very difficult for anyone on a diet! Far better for kids than adults. Only two desserts to choose from. It has a Thursday Quiz night too. Although there are brewing vessels, which adds to atmosphere, beer isn’t in fact brewed on site anymore. New owners.

The restaurant had a nice decoration and the staff were polite and attentive. However, the menu selection for lunch on a Saturday was limited, so I ended up ordering 2 small plates. The buttermilk chicken was very disappointing, with poor quality chicken that was not worth the high price of £7 for only 3 small pieces. The chicken goujons and cheese jalapeno poppers were also overpriced for the portion size. The chips were hardly seasoned at all and the overall portions were small for the price. Due to this, I will not be returning to this restaurant. I recommend visiting The Daylight Inn pub in Petts Wood for better food options. Parking is difficult as it is located on a main road.
