A great place to have been able to watch the rugby world cup games. The staff were great service provided was just as good. very accomadateing to alot of south african veiwers.have not eaten there but ha e been told it is good grub.booking table via phone was easy.well worth a visit.... Great place for Sunday roast. The pub itself is really nice with a nice atmosphere. The only minor negative is that it was a bit cold inside (not too bad though). The staff were all brilliant, very helpful and quick to attend to requests. Would definitely come back again! Often have problems with eating out making me ill I'v never had this experience at this Olive tree. As for the atmosphere, the room felt dark and gloomy, even on a rainy day, making it less inviting. I found myself envying the cheerful, smiling people gathered near the bar and the fireplace, which seemed much more welcoming. The restaurant area felt somewhat somber when it was just the two of us. If I couldn't secure a table by the bar next time, I would genuinely consider moving elsewhere. But back to the positive—again, the food was fantastic!

First impressions: Dirty sticky table, no salt or pepper on the table. Food: Waited over an hour and fifteen minutes for our roast. Small portion size, missing items on my plate. No parsnip or stuffing. Potatoes were over salted, with no seasoning on the rest of the vegetables. Service: No apology for the delay. Even after we approached one of the servers to ask how much longer our order would be. Overall: For close to £30 a head for a Sunday roast and a drink. This place is most definitely worth avoiding. A local pub that tried a little and failed a lot.

Usually very good but my last visit was awful. Understaffed and restaurant was busy I get that but with one exception, nobody made me feel welcome at all. No apologies of the wait, 'you can sit over there ', dirty table, not given a menu .... neither managers nor waitresses could summon up a smile, most were disinterested, two of them had perfected a scowl I was a nuisance. The only member of staff who gave good service with a smile was probably the youngest and least experienced. The bill told me she is called Freya.
