"I arrived at this restaurant around 1pm on a Friday, after exploring the sights in Avery. We stumbled upon this place accidentally, but decided to come in since we were hungry and on our way to Stonehenge. The pub was busy, with a waiting time of 20 minutes for a party of 4 ahead of us. The crowded pub reassured me that it would be worth the wait. Our table ordered 2 chicken Caesar salads and 2 steak sandwiches. The salad was fresh with crispy bacon and moist chicken, while the steak sandwich was tender and flavorful, served with sautéed mushrooms and onions on focaccia bread. The prices were reasonable, but the service was slow. It took over 30 minutes for the table seated before us to receive their order, which seemed inefficient. Despite the wait, the food was fresh and tasty, and the service was friendly. The decor with Seabiscuit paraphernalia added an interesting touch to the dining experience."

We stumbled upon this restaurant on Father's Day and it was very busy. Luckily, we arrived at the perfect time when a table opened up, as they were turning away other customers. The Sunday lunch menu offers a selection of roast dinners, and we chose the beef which cost just under £9 per person. Despite the crowds, the food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. It was the best roast beef dinner I've had since my Mum's homemade version. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely worth a visit.

"Absolutely amazing evening meal at Bunces. First time we have been here for an evening and all I can says it was perfect in ever way. I would rally recommend this for couples. I had the Orkney Scallops on Puréed Artichokes with Char Sui Pork Belly and Enoki Mushooms to start followed by the Lamb Loin, Pearled Spelt and Roasted Carrots with Browned Winter Greens for Main and it was all exceptional. The flavours were insane! My wife had the Beef Shortrib Brioche with Pickled Red Onion, Horseradish and a Musta Mayo followed by the Buttermilk Ranch Chicken Burger which again was out of the world good! The service was extremely good and the atmosphere on point for a couple enjoying a really fantastic meal for two. A next level food experience!"

"Came here for a big family celebration and booked a private area with a min spend of £1k. Before I start I must say the waitress who was serving us was amazing and did a great job under poor conditions so she was not to blame. She was the only person serving all the tables upstairs when there was an empty bar downstairs with 2 serners there. So food was OK but not amazing, I think it's bad to send prawns up from the kids menu as a full bodied carcass to be fair when I sent them back they were peeled but it added to an already slow service. We waited on wine for the whole of the first course and into the service of the mains, again they did upgrade the choice but it was slow. I had the watermelon salad which was fine, the crab linguine was good but had some shell in it. It all just felt a bit tired and lacklustre and for the price we expected a bit more. I wouldn't rush back."

"family-run Italian restaurant with a tidy house cooked food. I had big king prawns in an orange and chili sauce, followed by heavy fish in a tomato, olive and caper sauce on green beans and covered with very sharp thin frits. I also stole a few very creamy and alcoholic tiramisu from an evening meal. also had the table were baked mushrooms, play ravioli, a tasty looking huh wrapped in ham, plus a few other dishes that I can not remember. all declared excellent and washed with good Italian wine."

"Before booking some impressive reviews of this place read. Good news is they were all in the square. A little quiet for a Mon night, but the 'Pub-Food' was great. I only use the term 'pub food' because the price range is what you expect to pay for standard tariff, but what you get here is something a class good above the standard. We had four dishes, 2 from the Specials Board and 2 from the menu, and they were all excellent. The other half of the pub has the fire and a nice cozy seating area that we did not use at night, but on our return, which hopefully will not be too far away."
