"My partner and I have visited this restaurant many times over the years and we absolutely love it. It's our go-to spot for food and drinks, and whenever we crave traditional English cuisine, this is always our top choice. The Steak and Ale Pie is absolutely delicious; I order it every time. My partner always goes for the Fish and Chips, which he thinks is the best in Shaw! When we come with our families, they always enjoy the Lasagne and Garlic Bread, another favorite. The staff are always attentive and we will definitely be back soon."

The homemade Sunday lunch and house-made rag puddings were absolutely delicious, and the gravy was amazing. I really enjoy dining at this restaurant located in the park.

I had heard good reports of the food on offer here and we were not disappointed. My wife and I both opted for the rag pudding chips and mushy peas, the portions were generous and the food was very tasty even a large gravy boat full of thick meaty gravy.I can highly recommend The Park Inn for good home cooked no nonsense fare. I went in with friends and I have to say the spirit in the pub, the friendliness and the atmosphere is great. The food was tremendous as well. The recent change in manager (new manager Nov 2023) has made such a difference and I believe from what she has said it will keep on getting better. I for one will continue to support the pub and hope it goes from strength to strength.

Went in Sunday dinner time, despite the food area being busy the staff working found a table for us with only a 10 minute wait which was fine as we had a drink at the bar. Had the pizza which you could choose your own toppings and was very impressed, Lovely crisp pizza base and came out piping hot! My friend opted for the chicken tikka masala which was absolutely delicious. Good Homecooked food which is hard to find these days!

I’ve been here a few times recently after receiving lots of recommendations. The staff are very friendly and are always smiling, they can’t do enough to help you! The drinks are fairly priced and the bar staff are chatty, and the food from the restaurant is amazing, especially the roast dinner on a Sunday. The pub is always full of regulars meaning that the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Can not recommend this place enough. Ver carta

Went in today and despite it being very quiet was put on a table near ladies loos and the waiter service station. Order the roast of the day which came with a large hair on so asked for it to be replaced. They replaced it and the meal had been microwaved as half the chicken was hot and half of it was still freezing cold. Told the waitress but no apology at all. Got the bill only for them to overcharge by £10. Will not be visiting again

The food made in-house is incredibly tasty and comes at a very fair price, with very generous portions. My personal favorites are the Beef and Onion pie, Cheese and Onion pie, Lasagna, and rag pudding. My wife adores the Beef and Onion baguette, which is so large she can only eat half of it in one sitting. She always takes the leftovers home to enjoy later. We bring our young grandson for lunch every Friday, and he absolutely loves it, as do we. The staff are fantastic and incredibly friendly.

"Our second visit was even better than our first and that was great! My wife and I visited the Puckersley with friends who live close by. It was our second visit and we remembered that the food was good. A new menu had been introduced just that evening (Friday the 13th) and I noticed a selection of “Rice Bowls” from which I chose the King Prawn option. I can’t fully remember the menu description but it was something like “Salt and Pepper Spicy King Prawns Rice Bowl” MY GOODNESS! I have eaten in some fancy places and never have I been more surprised and delighted by a dish than I was that night. It was served beautifully, the prawns were lightly battered like Tempura prawns they were on a bed of egg fried rice surrounded by a lovely sauce containing goodness knows how many different chilli peppers and beautifully diced vegetables. It was even more enhanced by some greenery (sorry, i forgot what it was) which reminded me of a lightly fried rocket which just melted in your mouth. The dish is a TRIUMPH and must not be missed. I look forward to trying the other versions of this dish on our next visit and we will certainly visit again. Our friends ordered steaks which arrived cooked exactly as they requested which is unusual in itself but not, our friends say, at the Puckersley! My wife could only look enviously at my bowl but fortunately reported that her Scampi was excellent too. The waiting staff (All girls as it happened) were very happy, smiling and extremely efficient too. DO NOT MISS THIS PUB, IT IS A GEM."
