I wanted to visit the parkers arms after seeing so many positive comments on twitter and food blogs that every single comment I saw was positiw. it does.

My partner and I were driving around the area and popped in with no booking or prior notice. Despite this, the chef was able to produce an excellent three-course meal for us. Very friendly atmosphere and will definitely dine there again.

Our dining experience was marred by the manager's refusal to refund our money, despite us having overpaid due to a deposit and a gift voucher. The manager's argumentative attitude, especially considering we had young children with us, was unprofessional. Additionally, serving buttered peas to a child with a dairy allergy after being informed of the allergy was concerning. We will not be coming back to this restaurant, as it is clear they do not value customer service. Service rating: 2.

The staff welcomed us warmly and were friendly. We opted for the £50 each menu with 3 options for each course. The starters were delicious, although despite mentioning our allergies, cucumber was still served in the salad. The main course pie was excellent, but the herb lamb dish was quite ordinary with only 3 slices of lamb and vegetables and potatoes on the side. The dessert was refreshing and the cheese and biscuits were nice. Overall, it was a pleasant lunch but slightly disappointing. Ver carta
