"My son took me out for a pre-booked meal at 4pm today to celebrate my 84th birthday. I was totally disappointed. Although the pub was empty we were asked to sit at a table near to the door and next to a family with 2 small children. (I have no problem at all with the children having several children and grandchildren of my own. The table was sticky! We were told we would have to wait a while as the chef was still on his way! The food wasn't good at all and I left half of my meal, as did my son. It spoilt my birthday and we will not be recommending or returning again. Extreme disappointing."

The food was incredible—delicious and served in generous portions. The staff was very friendly, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere. David kept our youngest entertained, which was a huge help! We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a 5-star dining experience!

We’re up here for the week from the sunny Sussex coast and had an absolutely brilliant meal. Highly recommend the Surf n Turf and the Steak and Ale pie. The Sticky Toffee Pudding is to die for.
