Just moved into the area and lucky to have this pub just 20 mins walk away, had a Sunday roast (belly of pork) and it was delicious. Bar staff and waitresses very nice and helpful. Highly recommended Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Sunday Roast

Lovely experience at The Plough Yesterday (26th October) Didn’t have a booking but was still seated, I opted for a burger and the grandparents chose Ham, Egg and Chips. Everything was presented well and tasted delicious. Waitress was lovely and made us feel welcomed. Definitely deserves 5 Stars. Unfortunately, The Plough has gone from excellent to just average. We were previously impressed with the food, but it seems that things have changed. The menu has shifted from a gourmet pub to basic pub favorites. While simple food done well is acceptable, the dishes were lacking in quality. The BBQ chicken wings were flavorless, the goat cheese had a greasy aftertaste, and the beetroot was overly vinegary. The pork wellington was supposed to be served with fondant potatoes but instead came with mashed new potatoes. The waitress did offer us complimentary drinks and was very apologetic and friendly, but we were disappointed to see a decline in the quality of the kitchen.

Well a incorrect booking at a toby lead us down the road to the Plough and how glad were we. We decided to sit on the terrace in a blaze of October sunshine. We ordered the trio of meat Sunday roast. Well when it arrived all I can say is wow. Half a chicken, slabs of beef and beautiful succulent pork all dressed with a assortment of vegetables and a huge Yorkshire amazing Dessert for myself I went for the Eton mess again lovely my friend had the chocolate brownie and you could smell the richness of the chocolate from the other side of the table and she said it was absolutely lovely.
