"the place looked online had great reviews and right. area chosen for friendly meeting. personal, drink, eat, ambiente and lay everything super. very busy, but not crowded, men come and go during our 3 hours visit, along with some well-being dogs. little mistakes I didn't complain about, was a flowering sound in the room above, where we sat in the bay window, my ears for approx. 20 minutes touched how a helicopter sounded over the head! Perhaps a dryer in the insert? will definitely return in the warmer months to sit in the garden, but estimated a well stolen fire on this particular cold Saturday in the januar."

This pub was a fantastic place to eat, recently taken over by the community so well worth supporting. The food was both excellent quality and excellent value, service was lovely and the internal layout allows for it to be both busy and yet feel private at the same time.

warm and friendly atmosphere. Log burners kept us warm during a cold midday visit. good choice in the menu. selected the ham hock and black pudding terrine to star and venison burger for pornstar. both were very good and good portions. would recommend and expect to return.

Absolutely beautiful roast dinner, the gravy and roast potatoes were the best I’ve ever had! Really enjoyed ourselves and this was our first time here. Discovered it’s only down the road from us so will definitely be visiting this place more often. Service was great by Ray, and loved the history of the place.

Everything about our visit was pleasant, the car park had space, the welcome was warm, the service was prompt but not rushed, the decor was comfortable as was the seating, the food was delicious, the portions good. We expected a ‘community’ pub to be maybe a bit amateurish… we could not have been more wrong. We eat out fairly often and we will be back. Thank you
