good lunch after a walk. we both had a start and dessert. the food was well presented, fresh and tasty. good vegan options and dog-friendly. the personal was welcoming.

Always a place to return for good value, excellent food. Friendly service and always with a smile. Lovely feel to the place welcoming and clean. Lovely outdoor space too. Definitely gets our recommendation.

We have been visiting this pub for a long time. Recently the staff has changed which has had a big impact on the place. Deffinately not as good now. The young man who ran it beforehand made the experience special.The food also was tasteless. No...flavour. Very disappointed.

had dinner with friends when we were close. it is within a few minutes from wangford to walk. there was no crying list so little choice and many animals were out. eating was better than typical pub, but not as good as the angel near. service was. very friendly and generally efficient

This restaurant is a fantastic spot to enjoy a delicious meal. It is a charming pub located in a wonderful area. The chef prepared the most amazing steak I have ever tasted - it was cooked perfectly. The staff were outstanding and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, even taking care of our dog by giving them water and treats. I am looking forward to returning soon.

great pub. really friendly staff, good selection of drinks and eating. dog-friendly also! we were warmly welcomed and asked to choose a table. good choice of food, I had the ham and cheese plower. the tasty; well presented with a lot of ham and a...big piece cheese together with warm broth, selection of pickles and a crispy fresh salad. husband had fish and chips that saw and tasted delicious. well worth a visit, they will not be disappointed!

This pub was only a minute walk from where we were staying and it was dog and vegan friendly, so it was only natural that we made a stop there. It was nice and quite inside (which suited the dog) and a small, but...very tasty menu. I had a Cromer Crab linguine with Chilli and lime dressing and it was great, the vegan option was a roast artichoke salad and that also went down a storm. The kids menu was your standard fare, but the little enjoyed it none-the-less TLDR: Very nice food, reasonable prices.

The food at the restaurant was delicious, especially the fresh fish. However, unfortunately, we had to keep our coats on during the meal because it was so cold inside. We requested for the heating to be turned on, but our radiator seemed to be broken as it stayed cold. My elderly aunt was freezing, so we had to leave before we could enjoy our dessert or coffee. It was disappointing to not see a fire burning in the fireplace. The staff may have been friendly, but we were all too cold to fully enjoy our dining experience.

The staff at this restaurant were all gorgeous, very pleasant, polite, helpful, and attentive. Our room was also beautiful, very spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The location was good, right near Southwold, with free parking and easy to find. However, we were disappointed by our food. There was some confusion about where we could sit and when we could eat. We were told we couldn't sit in a certain area because it was full, but were eventually seated in the restaurant. There was conflicting information about when we could order, with one coworker saying we could order at any time and another saying we had to wait until there were cancellations.
