The Poachers Pocket

Called in today for lunch plenty of space in the garden. Had a vegan burger and hubby had vegan Thai curry. We both enjoyed our food. Service polite efficient. We're not local but would come again if in the area.

The staff here is very friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. You can enjoy your meal both indoors and outdoors. We had two meals for £35.25, which is a great deal. They also serve mocktails and have a good selection of gin, along with non-alcoholic beer. Ver carta

I highly recommend this place for Sunday roast. The staff were fantastic, the food was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. Price per person: £20–30. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 4/5. Recommended dishes include the Sunday Roast and the Pork Belly Roast.

Our daughter, husband and two toddlers recently relocated to Saxmundham and took us to The Poachers Pocket for lunch. I write to say how enjoyable the whole experience was. Great food and drinks, but most of all very kind and thoughtful staff who provided excellent service.

Went for a meal here last night, there were 8 of us including 2 children. The food was absolutely beautiful, thoroughly enjoyed by all. The children's portions were perfect sized , not stingy at all. The lady that served us was really really friendly. Will definitely come back here again. Ver carta

The restaurant is dog-friendly both inside and outside, with plenty of seating available outdoors. The service and food are excellent, and the menu, while typical for a pub, offers great options. It's definitely worth the price. Even though we brought our own water dispenser for our dog, they kindly offered us a bowl of water for Harry.

The pizzas are excellent, and I enjoyed a pint of Adnams Southwold Bitter, which was not only delicious but also quite affordable. The service was very good—polite and attentive. It's clear that the pub has made improvements to its atmosphere and overall feel since my last visit four years ago. I would definitely recommend it, even if just for a well-served pint.

the staff was really friendly and talked to them. the restaurant, although we did not eat tonight and saw the reserved notes on the tables, were full tonight. it is under new management that we have found out and the food that comes into the tables looked very good. have not seen any teller with food yet on them when clearing the tables. the menu itself is a simple pub menu, the pizzas looked really good. it has a small parking space and the pub looks like it was recently decorated. a very nice pub that we can re-enter ourselves.
