1st time visiting Poole, won’t be the last after tasting this menu. Great pub with fantastic food. Real character, no big chain mundaneness

Very tasty seafood, freshly cooked. Great service, friendly staff. Edit: was so good, had to come back the next day. Didn't eat all this at once...

I’m not a big Seafood eater but I do like a pint of Proper Job. It’s a great pint in there. Although you’re in Dorset I feel I’m in Cornwall. Anyway a great place to visit.

Lovely pub, friendly staff and tasty food. Had the scallops for starters which were delicious and skate and sea bass for mains which were equally great. Will be coming back here for a drink and food again. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing lunch. Food was exceptional and service from Robbie was seamless. I thoroughly recommend the scallops, fish pie and chicken wrapped in pancetta. The sticky toffee pud, and the crumble were absolutely delicious, you will not be disappointed be sure to BOOK early

Never before had fish with the head but if you were married to a veggie, it will not happen. the sole with fresh veg. must learn to eat with a fish knife in future. apfel and black currants with cuddly dessert. to finish a pint of thatchers and coffee. very beautiful!

Ordered the Sole with fresh veg. Will have to learn to eat with a fish knife in future. Apple and Blackcurrant crumble with custurd for dessert. One pint of Thatchers and coffee to finish. Lovely!

Great lunch on Saturday just gone. Would recommend and would return if in the locality. Food was fresh and cooked well, also hot when it arrived at our table. Oysters were the size of a baby’s fist! (Big! . Scallops delicious. Sea bass (2 fillets cooked to perfection. Chicken and ham nicely cooked. Big side dish of veg for each main course. Apple and blackberry crumble with custard (cold by choice was a great end. Bill was reasonable too!

Came here for a spot of lunch what can I say...... Absolutely amazing, Small cosy pub which sells the most wonderful array of fish dishes plus a few none fish plates. We didn't book so I guess we were lucky has within half an hour the place was full. I recommend a small or no breakfast before you go for lunch the portion sizes are extremely generous. Starters we shared were the salt chili squid and a portion of boquerones which were delicious. Mains we had a Poole arms seafood casserole the smoked haddock pot.
