"I walked in and was quite enchanted by the place. It feels like walking into a cellar or cave – in a good way. It is extremely dark and cosy with candlelight. It would make a really good romantic meal. I had expected to waltz in at and get a table but it must get a lot of pre-theatre business as the place was pretty much full. I went with my mum who doesn’t eat very much these days so we only ordered three dishes to share between us (and I ate most of those). Luckily I had had a snack beforehand. We got the confitado de pato and patatas bravas con alioli and, because we felt we should have some vegetables, the pisto – diced, slow cooked vegetables with oregano, paprika and...read more"

a very non-descript front, but with warm interiors. they could miss this place because of the tight. big wine collection and good pork dishes. it seems to be a fav among the natives.

very reasonable place in london. it is a small place and has a dimming light and trusts me its romantic place to be with its better half or so. ratatouille was good and batata bravas was also delicious coated with a tomato sauce that tasted delicious and beautifully tasted. we also had wee who was very reasonable again.

Can't fault the London Port House! Given I'm a huge fan of the restaurant in Dublin, it had high expectations to meet, and it absolutely did It has a similar menu to the Dublin branch (large selection of Spanish tapas varying between meat, veg and cheese all delicious and the setting is just as dark and romantic Ideal for a romantic date! A little gem for some yummy tapas and great wine selection. I have been to this place times now and never been dissapointed. Lovely warm ambience, great service and a huge selection of tapas up choose from whether you're a vegetarian, meat-lover or seafood connoisseur. Don't miss the gin and tonic and book in advance if you are more than ppl.

Although the place is a little small, it is kind of cozy. waiter friendly and friendly, always with a smile. cost reasonable costs for a good restaurant in the plumbing garden.

I've been a lover of Tapas since my childhood and I've had some mixed experiences in Spain as well as in England. However, I happened to try out the Tapas served at this place and had an amazing experience. The staff was pretty friendly and gave good recommendations for what to order. Another great thing about this place is the Gin and tonics, which were amazing and are served in some really innovative flavors. Ver carta

This charming restaurant located on the bustling Strand is a hidden gem. Guests can enjoy a welcoming atmosphere with seats along the bar, offering a selection of authentic ports and sherries from Portugal and Spain, as well as a wide variety of freshly prepared tapas. The staff is both efficient and incredibly friendly. Reservations are recommended for diners looking to enjoy a meal at one of the tables further inside, where even more options are available. Overall, this place comes highly recommended!

I have a tendency to walk past places I think look nice and then put them on my List so I don’t forget to investigate them. When I came across The Port House on the Strand, I made a note of it because port is a favourite drink of Stephen’s. As it happens, when I finally went I didn’t take Stephen and didn’t drink any port. Instead I went for a (very) light bite with my mum before we watched the five-star show Gypsy. I walked in and was quite enchanted by the place. It feels like walking into a cellar or cave – in a good way. It is extremely dark and cosy with candlelight. It would make a really good romantic meal. I had expected to waltz in at and get a table but it must...read more

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
