"After booking through the Internet and not knowing Wing, chose the queens head as it looked liked a good menu. Was a bit shocked on arrival to find that we were the only people booked for a Saturday lunch. We looked at the menu and were then told the specials three of us us had the bacon Gorgonzola risotto topped with smoked haddock and poached egg, one chose the seafood platter, all from the specials. The risotto was delicious, and the sea food platter was nearly empty so that was just as good. The ambiance wasn't what we were looking for but the food made up for it. Well done to the chef. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble."

My sea bass with water cresss salad was ok, but a bit overcooked. Hubbie's lamb cuts were good. The restaurant is too brightly lit (in my opinion).

Wonderful food, friendly service and reasonable prices. The menu gave a very good choice and there was no rush to get us fed and out in fact it was very relaxed. No problems with parking either. All in all a very good lunch experience.

we were very pleasantly surprised with the beautiful warm feeling in the queens, apart from the fact that it burned a big log fire in the heart. beautiful staff, yes it is christmas and everyone is in a good mood, but we really enjoyed ourselves, thank you.

Will always be our favourite pub! We took some of our friends with us for Sunday Lunch and as expected they were very impressed with their first visit to the Queens Head. We had the souffle, crayfish and salmon parcels and the salt and pepper squid for starters, followed by roast lamb, pork and beef all cooked to perfection as they say on those food programmes! Finished of with the cheese board and chocolate brownie which was all spot on. As always really friendly staff, fab prices and a lovely wine and beer list. See you again soon xxx
