"I am truly impressed by this restaurant. The shellfish dishes were the best I have ever had, and I have dined at restaurants all around the globe. If you have not been here before, you must give it a try. The service, atmosphere, and food were all top-notch. I highly recommend trying the Mussels in Garlic and Lemon and the Popcorn Cockles. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. Price per person is around £70–80 for dinner."

"we went to lunch here and there was a great choice of eating different things. we could have an inca and a lunch bowl in the near east with focaccia. it was amazing! I love eating here and really friendly staff and all the amazing things they do during this time. the cakes were amazing as we had an Anzac cookie and some panforte that were both very delicious. I can't expect to go back when the caffe is back!"

"Had a bewilderingly terrible experience 3 weeks ago. At 12pm on Saturday I phoned to book for 8 people at 2pm the same day. My booking was taken with no problem. On arrival the pub was basically empty with a couple of people eating inside and a few drinking outside. We put in our food order and waited at least half an hour with no update from staff on our food or anyone coming to see if we wanted more drinks. We asked about our food and were told it was coming. We had to specifically ask for some water for the table. More time passed and then the manager came over to say there was only one chef on (not that unusual for a quiet pub in the middle of Saturday afternoon and he hadn't made a calzone before so he had had to teach him there and then(! Still no offer of more drinks. The food eventually arrived about an hour after ordering. It was surprisingly alright even the calzone! When we came to pay we were given the bill with no offer of taking any money off or goodwill drinks. My wife went to the bar to say we didn't want to pay the full amount and they offered to take the 10% service charge off, which they'd had the audacity to add before giving us the bill! To top it all off, my wife knocked on the kitchen door to ask if they had a container so we could take away some of our food, and she saw the chef eating coleslaw out of the tub with a spoon! We have since checked the Food Standards Agency website to find that an inspection in March 2023 gave this pub 2 out of 5 (improvement necessary . Just wanted to warn anyone else who was planning to eat here please check whether they have made any improvements before booking a table. Vegetarian options: There are veggie and vegan options. Dietary restrictions: There were vegan options."

"Well...what can I say about The Pizza Café in Wallingford, other than that it is the best pizza for miles. Since moving to the area in October last year, I had extensively looked around for a decent pizza and happened upon these guys. Their Four Cheese pizza is to die for! Always a win when you find a good strong blue like Dolcelatte although i prefer gorgonzola....won't mark you down for that ; So tasty and since the first, I haven't looked anywhere else. The best pizza I ever had was at the Trencadora restaurant in Pollenca, Mallorca... only by a slim margin. Well done guys! Steve Christine (Cholsey"

"Long time visitor here. Not entirely sure what happened to this once brilliant cafe but what an absolute rip off. £7.95 for a ham and cheese toastie that included one incredibly thin slice of ham and barely any cheese, burnt toast and some limp salad leaves on the side that had seen better days. Pretty sure this used to come with crisps at least but no, we had to pay extra for chips. It seems the cafe has become so busy these days that food has fallen to the way side and no care or attention has been paid to it. During covid we could come for their takeaway breakfast and it was always brilliant and since then food standards have fallen so incredibly low. Despite the wonderful views in the sunshine we will not be back. I suggest to the managers to start focusing on your food again before you lose more long time customers."
