"Booked here for my partners mothers day meal with me and our two children. Booked for 5pm as our children need to be in bed for 7.30pm Menu was very limited with not a great deal to chose from and after waiting for our food for over an hour (which I kind of expected and wasn’t to mad at with it being Mother’s Day) I decided to ask a staff member to check in on our food which turned out that our food had not even been made. They offered to put the food on but at this point it was too late so we had to leave. A full refund was issued but unfortunately we won’t be returning."

Bit of a wait, but once it arrived it was very tasty and the mint gravy was delicious 1 had lamb cutlet with mash and veg 1 had cheese onion pie chips nd veg And apple pie and custard

We heard new people had taken over so decided to try it, ordered drinks intending to have food but it was so cold we all kept our coats even though most was drinking coffee, we didn’t stay for food it was that cold

We called in on our way home following a day out walking. Although heavily booked the owners did all they could to seat us. The food was excellent, we both had lamb chops. Obviously I had pudding. Hopefully we’ll call again on a trip out. Ver carta

What a fabulous lunch we had. The weekend menu was ace. We had 2 courses including the carvery which was delicious (the roast spuds were melt in your mouth). We had two different puddings and couldn’t fault them. We will definitely be going back!!

Lovely pub in a great setting, nice staff and huge potential. Menu is extremely limited. No good if you are vegetarian or vegan which is a shame as we are a family of vegetarians and it’s our local pub but okay for a glass of wine and a bowl of chips.

This place is now under new management, and to be honest, it really needed to be. Since December, we have visited a few times and have not been disappointed once. Firstly, the friendly staff who will go out of their way to assist you are a credit to the new management team. Then the delicious hot food we've had each time on our visit is great, especially the carvery which is one of my favourites. Finally, we have found it to be good value for money, unlike some other places around that area that we have also visited a few times.

Pub is in a lovely area and the place itself is very cosy. Meeting up with friends and thought this would be the ideal place. Menu limited, my sister is vegetarian, not much for her so she ordered cheese and onion pie, this came with gravy which was snatched away as stated not vegetarian but no further gravy was forthcoming. The fish and chips very disappointing, plate full of chips which I find overbearing and the fish was overdone with the batter hard (not much fish in the batter to be honest) . A real shame as this could be a good eating place
