"Be warned. Having checked the opening times for the pub last Saturday lunchtime, we set off on journey to arrive at 2.15pm, 45 minutes before it was advertised as closing. We arrived at the door to find the staff locking up saying they were closed! It makes you wonder, when you hear pubs closing, is it because they fail to provide a basic level of customer service like The Three Kings did on Saturday? Being closed when advertised as open is not a positive customer experience and is a slippery slope deterring customers returning. Some advice for owners of The Three Kings, employ staff that care and if you are going to shut shop early then at least warn your customers that might happen and advise them to check by ringing in advance before setting off on a wasted journey!"

"I stayed here back in March when I was purchasing a pub local to the area the staff were very friendly and welcoming room was very nice bed comfortable They are very down to earth people welcome everybody, no matter what your background me and my husband have been made to feel very welcome by everybody We did not eat here when we stayed there, but had a few drinks, but yesterday we both decided to go and have food ham, egg and chips highly recommended Also, the steak and ale pie, very good After being a publican ourselves for 15 years , and now purchasing a new Pub It is very hard to find publicans who enjoy it and make you feel welcome so thank you all we will be back And keep doing what you do it will all come good in the end This game is a life style not a rich life but the joy you will have along the way Regards, John and Martin from three kings inn"

"I took an old friend of mine for lunch today and what a lovely experience it was.On arrival we were greeted in a very friendly manner by the Landlord and soon found ourselves in a comfortable dining room with a good glass of beer perusing a small but good menu. This size menu made us think things would be cooked to order and this was the case. We both chose the steak and it arrived cooked to perfection (the chef is no amateur) and we both ended up with clean plates. The deserts were very good and the coffee was up to scratch.We were shown the larger of two dining roomsp as we discussed the excellent meal with the Landlady, and it shows how much effort this couple are putting into building a very good business. They seem to have the old fashioned ethos of not ripping people of so that they will return many times, which I am sure I will.Well done I would recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"First visit since the refurb and it is much more inviting and modern. The menu is quite pricey but for an evening out with friends we were more than happy to pay. The evening didn’t get off to a great start due to the service. The waitress didn’t know if they served Malbec and so we asked her if she would mind asking twice she returned having not found out and we don’t actually think she knew what we were on about! She then brought a bottle of wine to the table and when we asked for glasses for the second time she said we would have to wait a while as they are all in the dishwasher! Never heard such a thing and we persuaded her to bring any glasses so that we could at least start a drink. The food was very nice and enjoyed by all. The scotch eggs were particularly good but the chips were quite fluffy being the thrice cooked variety! Overall, service let our experience down. We felt rushed to order, having to ask for more time four or five times over the ordering or drinks, food and desserts. It would be better if one person serves a table and then one wouldn’t feel so hassled by multiple servers coming to the table to ask the same question. Definitely some training needs to happen for the service to match the level of experience the pub is trying to achieve."
