"Lovely furnished pub/restaurant, food was excellent our problem was the service, starters were still on our table when the main came then had to call somebody for cutlery and condiments, eventually our main plates were taken away and we were given desert menus after 20 minutes I had to go and ask for our order to be taken, also any drinks that we wanted one of us had to leave the table to find a waiter to order, the table we were given was in a chilly window seat. When we eventually called the front of house over to complain, not something we do) she did apologise and offer desserts for free which we refused and said that was not our aim, when the bill arrived they took £30 off, we really would rather of had good service all in all our business partners were pleased with the food but we were embarrassed about the terrible service so for this reason we wouldn’t return."

This traditional English pub is excellent. The food and beer are top-notch, and the atmosphere is very friendly. An added bonus is that the restaurant is dog-friendly.

We had a lovely evening meal! The service was really good , pleasant and friendly staff. We will definitely return for all kinds of meals and celebrations! The menu looked great! If ever you need a taster for your meals and drinks, I would be happy to oblige! Lol! X

It's been a while since I've been here.. very impressed with the decor. Excellent menu choices. I enjoyed the Steak menu which was three courses and was extremely good value. Only one criticism in that that there were no fish steak options. Very friendly staff and food was served promptly. Ver carta

Well where do i start. 1 booked with open table and got email saying it was reserved. Perfect.....i thought UNTIL THE DAY OF MEAL. About 2hrs before meal had a text saying looking forward to seeing you......AT THE VICTORIA... 2 rang the victoria said yes was booked which i had to cancel .... 3 then rang RED LION they do Not except opentable bookings....so NO BOOKING luckily I asked if space was available to which THERE WAS .

we use vintage inns several times a week, and we were most disappointed with the overall service, cold starters, cold dinners, incorrect desserts served to us. The staff spent too much time on their mobiles texting and giggling behind the counter, instead of approaching customers to check if everything was alright with the food etc. There was no toilet roll in the toilet either which is so annoying. And it was cold in the dining area. Overall not very impressed.
