Very good food served by well informed and helpful staff. We have been advised that it is wise to book a table. Well worth a visit.

We went for the eat out deal and it was great value. Lovely food and great interior. The staff were busy and did apologise for being busy but to be honest I think they were being hard on themselves as if was great experience.

A couple of weeks ago my husband enjoyed “date night” we had our first kids taxi too… it was a great success. The food here is really good, there’s sufficient and varied choices to suit most. We pushed the boat out to three courses. All were lovely. It’s got a really cosy feel and the service was great. Thanks guys. Sorry we forgot photos of the mains… we were enjoying the Italian Red!

Wonderful Sunday lunch at a lovely country pub and restaurant. Really beautiful food and friendly, prompt service. The children 's menu includes good quality produce too, with chicken breasts as the 'nuggests ' and the tastiest skin on fries. Ridiculously good value with the current menus. All felt reassuringly well organised for covid, with sanitiser available everywhere, cleaning clearly taking place, table service, maked out areas on the floor and tables well spaced. Couldn 't fault it. Thank you x

It's an absolutely beautiful place. It's a gem of a place and the staff are so nice and friendly. We stopped off for a meal and ended up having a lovely 3 course. They had a set 3 course but me and my wife asked if they had Prawn cocktail for starters (as I'm a oldie), it wasn't but nothing was to much trouble for the staff and chefs. The food itself was gorgeous, I had the venison bourguignon, and it was mouth watering. It had an extensive menu, something to suit everyone. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Spotlessly clean. Couldn't fault it. I would highly recommend the Royal Oak, you will not be disappointed, that's for sure.
