"Had Sunday lunch here today with my family, every meal was cooked to perfection, piping hot food and all the meals came out at the same time. The roast beef was to die for and my wife’s steak was literally melt in your mouth, I’ve paid far higher prices than this elsewhere for food that simply does not even compare to the quality of yours. Fast and friendly service and would highly recommend. We will be visiting again. Thank you to all at the Royal Oak, you smashed it"

Lovely pub and great food , like other reviews have said the menu is fairly simple but cooked very well , the garlic mushroom starter was the best I've ever had , cooked to perfection

Enjoyed an amazing meal here last night. The steak was absolute perfection. Loved every mouthful and will be coming to visit more often. The waitresses and waiter were also extremely friendly and professional. Excellent work thank you

I had the bass and was very cooked and presented, would recommend it, my partner had the beef Sunday lunch. Chips and vegetables selection very tasty too, service was slow however at 45 minutes wait, but it was a busy period. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

A great pub all round. Eaten here on several occasions and consistently good food. Sunday lunch always a good test of kitchen skills and this did not disappoint. Staff are welcoming and Huw as always made us feel very welcome. Good choice of wines and not extensive but nice range of beers. Top pub.

Simple menu of very good food done very well. Also looked like a good place for a pint or 3 I hope to test this one day soon. Great service from friendly and helpful staff. Very popular place to go. Tables were cleaned but sticky a common issue with a popular variety of table cleanser being the only issue.

Ate off the daily special menu, both my wife and I chose the ‘Spanish Fideua’ Paella made with orzo pasta). It was so good loaded with chicken, king prawns, mussels with a hint of chorizo topped with a tiger prawn. Beautifully cooked and presented and excellent value. The staff were amazing.
