"they enjoy a groundless brunch in rustic grill yesterday. we were a party of 5, who were so glad to enjoy a day outside after working by kovid. we chose the groundless brunch deal. a lovley selecction of brunch dishes, eier. benedikt, cooked breakproof amzing looking pfan cake with speck or pavlowa and obst, for their main course. unlimited selection from the cocktail menu. we looked very well. the food was very beautifully presented and very tasty. cocktails were amazing and the personal made an excellent work to ensure that our glasses were filled. they have a 90-minute slot, we all had a great time and recommend a visit here. a great experience and fun day for friends and family. many thanks to all employees for a job."

The Rustic Grill in Turra wouldn’t be out of place in a major city. The decor, ambience, service, menu and quality of food is exceptional! Would recommend unreservedly.

have been satisfied several times and always with vegan options. the personal team knew about vegan foods and there are other vegan foods not on the current main menu. so pleased that this progressive food location has come to turriff!

We were passing through Turiff and decided to stop here for some lunch. It was quite busy on a Friday lunch time but they managed to squeeze us in. The staff were very friendly, excellent service and the food was lovely. All very reasonably priced...too. Would definitely go back if we are ever back in Turiff. Ver carta

First time visit, absolutely AMAZING food, service and value for money. Booked three weeks ago and not disappointed, just WOW.....have already booked in advance for coming back and advise to as really really good. My husband always worries when we go out as something is...always wrong with my meal but not this time. Starters excellent, main courses..venison on stone , mouth watering, his steak and the rhubarb and ginger cheese cake WOW.

We dropped by for brunch en route to the airport and were instantly impressed by the restaurant décor and by the unusual menu. There is full Scottish breakfast as well as some different choices including a boozy option. We had salmon with guacamole on sourdough.. delicious. Tacos with chorizo and eggs was another selection as well as pancakes with various toppings. The service was very pleasant and we enjoyed looking at the lunch/dinner menus. Very much recommended.

here at a recent trip to ne scotland. 6 o'clock on weekday and the place was surprisingly full. service was friendly and efficient. there is a large selection of tapas style small plates, some vegan and others as light “veganized” the staff was very helpful. gigantes, cauliflower tacos, minze erbsenraviolini (with a vegan lemon butter sauce) all delicious. the only part was that the price of all these small plates was very fast mounted. all in all a great fund in a quiet corner of aberdeenshire. updated by previous review on 2021-07-23 Ver carta

has heard good dinge so that woman decided to book for my birthday. excellent place, warm and welcoming inside, excellent decor and very clean. had a starter and main course with a few drinks (2 soft and 2 beers with a beautiful 19-year tobermory whisky.) and the last bill was reasonable. large enough portion to fill someone who is a big eater and unfortunately I had no place for a pudding or a coffee that was personal friendly and efficient. the first time there and although it is a fair walk from peterhead to turriff, it will not be our last visit.

we have just returned from another amazing lunch in rustic grill and cannot believe that our home town has such a high quality and consistently excellent restaurant. the three generations in our household were all delighted with our eating. I am both. Gluten and milk unbearable and the owner has kindly made it their mission that I could not give up on pudding I had dessert the heavenliest that was the jealous of my family. the best creation I have tasted for decades! many thanks, it meant a lot to me that I could participate in my favorite course with my family.

"Sunday, 3rd September 2023 – 19:00 Meal: Wine Starters – Main – Coffee My friend and I arrived at 19:00 to a busy but not overfull restaurant without a reservation and they accommodated us upstairs. Menus were produced and we ordered a bottle of white wine and a jug of water. 0rders placed for starters and 2 servings of the Italian style fish stew on the ‘Specials Board’ at 26.99 each. Tomato and chilli with promises of loads of different fish. The toss up was between a steak or the stew (which neither of us would cook at home). The table was dirty and needed wiping – this request was placed 3x on the young waitron who eventually produced a cloth slopping water from a bucket in the corner cupped in her hands where she half heartedly wiped the table with water dripping onto my friend’s lap. Hurried mop up with tissues out of my bag. The white wine was plonked on the table – next to the cooler – unopened and no glasses. Several attempts were made to attract the waitron’s attention. Eventually another bottle was produced opened and we were advised the waitron was under age and not allowed to pour wine. Perfectly acceptable had she produced an opener and the glasses with an explanation I would have been happy to help myself – we understand and appreciate these things. The starters arrived and were delicious! The chef then came out to see us and explained that there was no lobster for the stew – we asked for extra monkfish, he then said there was no monkfish left – but could help us with other white fish and crab claws. He said he was down to the last 2 portions, and he would ensure they were hearty. We were a bit concerned and suggested perhaps we settle for the steak which is always delicious. He assured us we had made the right choice and would enjoy the stew. The stews arrived and were ‘hearty’ if being crammed with the contents of a tin of crab claws is your definition of hearty. The promised ‘rich tomato broth with chilli and garlic’ was a watered down version of what was clearly less than a cup of the original broth left at the bottom of the pot topped with water. It was tasteless – lacking in hint of either chilli, wine, garlic or herbs – having lived in Malta I can assure you I have a deep understanding of Med cooking. I guess we were lucky we didn’t have the salty brine of the crab claws as the broth. It was inedible and we were starving so we kept adding salt and pepper – we were beyond the point of returning the food which was a mistake in hindsight. We skipped dessert – had coffees and left. The meal came to nearly £100.00. This was an expensive lousy experience. We paid a generous tip – because they accommodated us without a reservation. Take aways from the experience: • The restaurant service on a Sunday evening at 19:00 should be as good as it is on a Friday at 19:00 • Being a local and having eaten there several times – it is my first choice for a ‘good’ meal – don’t abuse the luxury of local support. • Train your waitrons to clean tables, by wringing out the cloth and not dripping water on your patrons. • Waitrons (even under aged ones) should at least carry a wine opener, and understand that wine glasses should be produced when delivering wine. • Your chef should know better and never, ever assume he can cut costs by selling the dregs from his kitchen. • A poor dining experience costs you more than you think. We would have ordered dessert, and more importantly returned for a second meal in the next week – WE DIDN’T! I have a friend coming from Ireland in November – do I risk taking her to the Anchor?"
